Is this a bear track?

Took this yesterday at about 7,000 feet in Northern Arizona.
Probably 7-8 inches long.
The obvious heel and overall shape make me think it's from the rear foot of a bear.
Am I out of my mind?

I'm not a tracking expert but black bears don't seem to be afraid of people up in that area so it is possible.

It seems to be hard for me to make it out well in the pic...

but as I understand things, black bears do live in AZ and at that height.
Also, the length sounds right and the general features that I can make out do too.

think so. It would be odd, but not impossible to have a bear come out of hibernation in early Feb.

Not if AZ has been as warm as NM this winter. We some sub-zero nights in late January but the days were sunny and over 50F. So far in February it's been unseasonably warm -- some nights haven't gotten below freezing and the days hitting 60. Plus very little precipitation of any kind. Predicted to change this week, we'll see.

Anyway that could be a factor:

Yes bears do! My younger sister met one in her tent  one night near Flag. :ROFLMAO: Poor girl never tent camped again! :ROFLMAO: The story she tells is HILARIOUS! She thought her DH was licking her toes! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: She said: "DH! What the....hell are you doing at this time of the morn....??!".
