Is This the End of Humankind? Toxic Chemicals Could Shrink Sperm Count to ZERO by 2045

Aneeda, we don't need to worry, we just need to be ready and act now for the sake of future generations. We need to do more than is being done now.

Mike, embryos are being started without a sperm or or egg involved??😲 Yikes, that's a whole other thread.

I really wanted to keep this thread to be on a scientific level so I'm sorry to get Biblical but it just happened when someone posted a cartoon about religious End Times. I'm not sure if the phrase "end times" is in the Bible but "last days" is in Timothy 3:1-15...same thing. Every generation thinks their generation has all the signs to be considered as last days. God wants it that way so everyone will be ready because he says it can happen in a twinkling of an eye. But the Bible is clear that "no one will know the day nor the hour".
I don’t think we need to act. The earth is overpopulated. Maybe Mother Nature or God or natural selection or all three are working, in some ā€œmaster planā€ to correct the overpopulation issue and our continued destruction of the earth.

I think it says something in the Bible about ā€œeverything has its seasonā€, maybe not. Maybe it is the ā€œend of timesā€ as I think it says something about when peace comes to the Middle East it is the beginning of the ā€œend of timesā€œ. Peace has started. I don’t care enough to goggle it.

I do know that whatever will happen, will happen.

I do know that most humans are not interested in making any sacrifices to insure the continued survival and healing of the earth. I do believe the virus will be with us forever and the death rates will rise. More of the Amazon will be destroyed.

We have more major concerns that the fail of a mans sperm count. IMO. But, as most woman know, any issue concerning a human MALE is going to get funding and attention. šŸ˜‚

I read that the "m" word...sorry, I just can't bring myself to say it lol, will definitely bring a different result in research.
So funny, with four sons I have no problem saying the word masturbation, but the other day at the doctors when I asked the receptionist if having a biopsy after a mammogram would effect the timing of my hip replacement. I could not say ā€œmy breastā€, in front of a crowded desk area, when she asked where the biopsy would be.

I repeated, I am having a mammogram. Yes, she replied, I heard you but where are you having the biopsy?. šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø Ok, dumb butt, ā€œon my *****ā€, (which I don’t have) 😁. Some people are so difficult to deal with. 😔. Another receptionist, overhearing the conversation, replied no, it is not an issue. 😁

Your points are valid in your post #51 but I would feel terrible for the next generation's young married couples who may deeply be yearning for a family and unable to have a baby. I couldn't have children at first and I remember sitting on the beach listening to children giggle, play, yell "mommy", and families having so much fun together. I hurt inside physically. It was hard. Then when our first child arrived finally at the age of 30, words cannot express our joy. It's just natural.

Plus, it's only natural to live in a world of birth and death, children and old people...a nice healthy mix. I can't imagine living in a world of only aging people and death. It's just unnatural.

I have two bio children, one from first husband, one from my second husband. Then two adopted children, as no need to continue to be a brood mare. I was one of those people who could, and did, get pg on the pill.

Lots of people, in today’s world especially in the USA, choose not to have children. A majority of the elderly are abandoned by their families for a variety of reasons as the elderly live longer and longer; and their children have their own agenda. When my daughter and her family moved to Texas, I think it’s been over a year now, I was crushed.

But I learned, saddened as I was, that life goes on. Human beings will adjust, and frankly, if push comes to shove, don’t forget about cloning. I personally always thought I would like to be cloned and raised by decent human beings instead of my horrific abusive parents.

I would have been a much different person, I am sure. By cloning we might be able to answer the age old question, is there a GOD. As the behavior of these children might indicate if they have ā€œsoulsā€ or not. By cloning, we would have an endless supply of children.

Imagine ā€œbaby banksā€ full of newborns where you pick which attributes a baby has that you want to raise. No more horrendous birth defects. No more abusive parents, as parents are throughly screened. Yes, a big brother society here at last, and children fully protected.

I see endless possibilities. There will be children, there will be old people. There might not be beaches anymore as global warming drowns us all. šŸ˜‚. Bring on the low sperm counts, there is a better way!
