Is this where the party is? (My Intro)

I wonder if that is because it is much easier for them to fly out of Alaska to other parts of the United States than to have to drive?
Actually the majority of the private aircraft are used like we folks down south use a car or van. For going shopping when the store is 190 miles away from where they live. To go to the Doctor or Dentist in a city 250 miles away. To go out and check their trap lines, or use the plane to bring in supplies to their homestead. Remember how big Alaska is, and how sparse the rural population is, and how spread out they are. Thats why so many of them own a small aircraft up there. Same thing in the far north in Canada. North of the 60th meridian things are so different. JimB.
