Is Trump the real thing or a summer fling?

Those who wrote him off as a blowhard are changing their minds now with his polls still strong and his large crowds. It seems that people are tired of establishment types and how poorly they have taken care of the country's problems. Looks like he will still be around in the spring and maybe you will be supporting him...

Talking heads say that those supporting Trump are now representing all political stripes...

No... they are the Evangelicals... the birthers.... the home schooler crowd.. and the crabby old White people that just love how crass and rough he talks... says things they say to each other... so NOT all political stripes Ralphy.. Perhaps if you come from that ilk... the echo chamber is rebounding in your head.. lol!!

No echo chamber just the Sunday morning chat shows, and especially the one with Cokie Roberts. They say that no matter who they talk to they hear good things about Trump telling like it is and should be. Do you think Air Force One will have to be renamed Trump One? :D

The fourth bankruptcy of one of his companies cost the American economy over 0ne billion dollars and cost 1100 Americans theri jobs....and all he had to say about it was that he too advantage of a bad law. Is this the sort of person you want in your top job? I heard him say tonight that he buys people and then calls in favours.
He is a terrible indictment of the America phrase "money talks" and if this is money talking then I am not listening.

I never thought you lot could come up with anyone worse than Bush....but you have (if he is elected)

Not just loud Trump is making headway. There is also a retired surgeon that is also gaining popularity in the proposed voting. And much fewer supporting the old political party ones for office possibility. It seems that many folks prefer other than the professional elected politicians of elected persons.

Yes, Dr. Carson has pulled even with Trump. However, he does not have unlimited funds to carry him all the way (that's what some say) and the Donald does...

By the same token his initial investment/investments in many of these projects created jobs as well including construction and the years of employment many did get. Bankruptcy for LLCs is lenient and I'm sure it affects credit as a business. Many individuals declare bankruptcy as well. Now "walking" away on a mortgage or underwater home is hip in some circles-don't agree but people do it and it affects their credit as well.

Bankruptcy is a tool for all parties to move on, it's the last resort and should be used as a last resort but it is a legitimate financial tool.

The problem with polls is that there is no people count. If only 1000 people participated in the poll, then that is not true representation of the 320 million Americans, yet the language will mislead and say that 92% of Americans believe... when it should say that 92% of people polled believe... or 92% of 1000 people polled believe. Polls are nice but it is advisable to use them when investing money or picking presidents.
Trump is ill mannered. He openly verbally attacks women, and yet women support him. That is actually interesting because it begs the question of do women think it is okay for a man to verbally attack women who are fat, lesbian, and that it is okay for him to verbally insult a successful, young, good looking female anchor/reporter by making a remark basically that she is on the rag because she asked him hard-nosed questions. He has no respect for women, and I personally think women have fought too long and hard for equality to allow someone like that to push us back to the bottom of the totem pole.
His mannerism are also questionable in how he will deal with foreign dignitaries and policy. If he does not check his mouth at the door now, how many times will his crass verbiage get US citizens attacked on foreign soil or attacked at home? Not to mention his remarks about China prove he knows nothing about trade policies and norms.
The man has filed bankruptcy 4 times so he is not scared of taking risks but those risks will be at taxpayers' expense. He is not the self-made man he claims to be, his father was wealthy so what does this say about his trustworthiness?
How anyone can take this man as a serious contender is beyond me, but, the people voted an actor for president once so, I don't know, maybe the Kardashians will be members of the White House staff and the White House will become the new realty show--who he fires, the parties, the makeup wars... right now, Iran and every terrorist group imaginable is laughing at us. We just go from one comedy act to another and let them run the most powerful country on the planet--of course, we are also losing power so, maybe comedy acts are all we are capable of now.

Now a sellout, not the real thing or fling after signing "the pledge". Another 4 years of bludgeoning from a "two party" system.

The Constitution does not set up a party system for votes. That is just something that we set up many years back. Sometimes in the past if enough emotion was stirred a new party could arise to get the votes needed. But for the last hundred or so years they are the same two parties running but their content is changing. What were once close in content but with different methods are now far apart and don't even talk to each other any more. Pretty sad situation. Actually pretty stupid way to go.

A friend of mine and her husband just got back from a trip to Ontario, Canada, and she was talking about how nice the people were and how Beautiful the area was, and if they ever felt like moving, it would be to Canada. She said that many people they talked to were saying really nice things about Trump and that he would make a good president, and that they were very impressed with him, and how he would be good for getting things done. When she mentioned things he had said that were arrogant, they said that was a good point too, as people will take notice and not trample all over him for being weak.

I'm still trying to figure that one out.
Must the heat we've been having all over the US.

He has not always been a GOP. He has been a Democrat at times too. Today he signed a chart saying for now he is going to be GOP. He must see more problems in our government than a lot of us see. This will make our Republican efforts a lot more interesting for sure.

Trump's pledge means almost nothing legally.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-govern...d-trumps-loyalty-pledge-means-almost-nothing/

But still, he sold out, he had the old fart establishment GOP by throat because he showed a non favored son insider could advance. Wonder what this does to Sanders chances. At this point he could run third party as is. I don't even think this was about losing the White House I think a lot of old school politicians and pundits simply don't want or can't accept a third party candidate.

I never signed pledges-paycheck and benefit paper work only. Anytime you sign something as harmless as it may seem you just admended your "contract" or acknowledged something that could, can and will be used against you one day.

What part of the Art Of The Deal was this pledge. What did Trump get.
