Yeh, so called 'comprehensive immigration reform', in the meantime all the professional politicians and pundits that spout that give few or no details.
To deport and/or control new immigrants all that has to be done in use existing laws, processes and organizations that are in place. It won't give immediate results but the 3-5 years down the road it will make a huge difference.
I've seen this is the private sector as well where existing policy and procedure has been ignored by the employees and management alike and when the new management comes in rather than trying to fix or actually use existing policy they implement a new system to stamp their name on it along with being to bothered to figure out what exactly is going on or wrong.
