Is Waxed Paper Passé?

I use both. Parchment and Cut-Rite wax paper. Different jobs. I always buy it at Walmart and they have always had it.

I buy the square sheets often used by food stands. I get them at Costco. They work great for me.

I have a roll of waxed paper that I'd bet I've had for 20 years. That's about how often I use it.

The last time I used any was when the Littles and I were ironing some colorful fall leaves I had brought home from a trip to try to preserve them. We used to seal them between two pieces of waxed paper when I was a kid, but maybe waxed paper isn't as waxed as it used to be?

Made me laugh, that is exactly why I used it last time also: to preserve and adhere paper napkins with print to candles.
