Is "weed" legal in your locale?

Even a roach was a felony in Oklahoma. Now there seems to be a dope shop at every corner. A really interesting one is in the same building as Dominos's across the street from an attoney firm across the street from a drive through dope shop. This set up is connected by a sidewalk with a over 55 gated community and an Alf next to a big church. All bases are covered.

California only has dispensaries in counties and cities where local governments have approved such. Thus lots of dispensaries in some urban counties while none to few throughout most of the state. However since recreational legalization in 2016 (medical was legal in 1998), numbers of cities and counties decided to wait and see if issues occurred where it was allowed. Since there has not been significant issues outside of the illegal shops nonsense in Los Angeles County, more are now legalizing. The primary negative expectation that there would be more driving DUI's has not occurred. Another was that it would attract criminals around dispensaries was always nonsense. What is true is, it is probably affecting some teen's brains negatively of regular daily users in some areas depending on local youth cultures.

There have always been significant numbers of people, especially since recreational legalization, that tend to do so in social situations where they are combining use usually also drinking alcohol. Those and others mixing multiple drugs are the people society needs to worry about driving.

No way - I wouldn't use it if they were giving it away. I was just curious. A local pizza shop/deli closed recently and a weed shop opened in its place - right across from the public library. It seems every time a store goes OOB, a pot shop opens there. Seems there are more of those now than even liquor stores.

Weed and pizza, what's not to love! They could have been a joint venture, making mucho $$ :cool:
 
There's a dispensary for medicine mj in my city. The city won't allow the dispensary to have recreational mj. It's legal here medically and recreational though. I can get it medically or recreationally.

I qualify for getting it medically but I couldn't afford the mj card and fees they wanted. So now I get it from a place I go to. It's pretty good weed too, very relaxing.
 
It is decriminalised where I live.

which isnt quite same as legal - it means you can have/grow small amount for personal use only. Or it might be officially an on the spot fine, I'm not sure, but in practice nobody is going to push that unless you flaunt it.

Medical marijuana is legal - but tightly controlled prescribed substance and only available from specialists.
 
Legal for social consumption in NY. Although recently a shop got busted for selling psilocybin, which should be legalized.
