We'd better all pray Yellowstone doesn't have a "super volcanic" eruption, even those who don't believe in prayer!! @Paco Dennis' post gives this synopsis of what would happen if there was a super eruption.
"If another large, caldera-forming eruption were to occur at Yellowstone, its effects would be worldwide. Such a giant eruption would have regional effects such as falling ash and short-term (years to decades) changes to global climate. Those parts of the surrounding states of Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming that are closest to Yellowstone would be affected by pyroclastic flows, while other places in the United States would be impacted by falling ash (the amount of ash would decrease with distance from the eruption site). Such eruptions usually form calderas, broad volcanic depressions created as the ground surface collapses as a result of withdrawal of partially molten rock (magma) below. Fortunately, the chances of this sort of eruption at Yellowstone are exceedingly small in the next few thousands of years."
What it doesn't say is how the ash would affect us. This is from the article linked below:
"That much volcanic ash is capable of killing people, plants, and animals and crushing buildings. Even a few inches of ash (which is what much of the country can get) can destroy farms, clog roadways, cause serious respiratory problems, block sewer lines, and even short out transformers. Air travel would have to shut down across much of North America."

I do feel better about us not having to worry about a super eruption in our lifetime or that of our children, grandchildren and great grands, etc. after reading the articles Paco and I posted.

I'd worry about all of the drilling around the area for everything from oil to fracked gas... to ludicrously overpriced tax-payer subsidized geothermal energy drilling experiments going on in places where the long-distance power transport grid doesn't actually reach.
Any or all of these together might trigger the volcano. I just hope that the risk and threat is more imagined than real.

Here is something that just happened, and it might or might not be related to the earthquakes happening around Yellowstone Park area.
The main road between Victor, Idaho, and Jackson, Wyoming, has suddenly collapsed because of a landslide. Whole sections of the road are gone, the hillside is gone, and more of the road is crumbling, and they have no idea how long Teton Pass will remain closed, or what might happen next.
When I looked on the map to see exactly where this was happening, I realized how close it is to the southern part of Yellowstone, and started wondering if this might be connected to some of the earthquakes happening there.
Yellow is where I circled Yelllowstone park area, and the red circle and line is where the highway is gone on Teton Pass.

Biscuit Basin in Yellowstone Park just erupted today, for the first time ever in the history of the park ! The video shows mud and rocks going everywhere along the walkway and people frantically running to get away from the explosion of debris flying in the air.
