Is you glass half full or half empty?
Now don’t get me wrong, I understand the phrase, but as with most things in my life, I have to see them in context, but that’s just me. Some I know might say that my opinion is wrong as to whether I see something half full or half empty. But its just my opinion.
For example: If I’ve got a glass and a can of beer, the glass starts out as being empty. I fill the can half way and it then becomes half full. Because my goal is to fill it so I can drink it. Please bear with me; I’ll finish what I’m saying soon.
Then when I start to drink it, my goal is to empty it. Then when the beer is half way down the glass as a consequence of drinking it, in my mind at least, it’s now half empty. Because it is.
When the glass then becomes empty, that’s fine, because I have some more in the fridge!
Am I just weird?
