Israel Has Declared War after Unprecedented Hamas Attack

In Gaza, women have no rights, and LBGTQ+? Forget about it, they are dead meat. So support them over democracies. Go ahead. When they move to my neighborhood the women and young girls are still in their slave uniforms. Young girls! Pre-pubescents! They don't realize they could be free. Their men won't let them. The indocrination doesn't leave.

I am praying that there won't be a third world war but am I crazy to think that it seems we're headed in that direction?

@Pepper The oppression the men in "Islamic countries" are perpetrating against women is against Islamic teachings. The Quran gave women certain rights: the right to vote over a thousand years before we got it hear via Women's suffrage. It also gave women the right to own property, run businesses, get divorced with what we now call alimony and it is incumbent on all Muslims to study and learn, so women were not (or at least not supposed to be) denied an education. There are Quranic surahs to back up what I'm saying but I don't have time to look for them now.

BTW I saw on the news last week that one of the African countries (I think it's Uganda) has now made it legal to put gay people do death and severely punish those who shelter and hide them!

To be perfectly honest it’s a hard sell for some. Do I believe you support Hamas? No, of course not. I don’t believe the lady I got to know from Lebanon does either but all of this country is not like the big cities. Many of us had not encountered a lot of people from the Middle East. For many, the first time the Middle East was really on our horizon was 9/11. We see in this thread that some know very little about Israel, as well, but Jewish people were a part of the makeup of the country.

The fact that we are all from such different backgrounds but we are talking about this in a civil way in the wee hours gives me some hope for humanity.

Kate, there’s nothing wrong with your question. From reading I’ve done and stories passed down, I think people knew WWII was an all consuming war for survival. It did pretty much involve the whole world. The war effort affected everyone. They called WWI the Great War, the war to end all wars, but it didn’t, and there they were, making sacrifices in food, gas, tires, clothing, everything really and worrying about their family members doing the fighting. They were genuinely worried that Hitler could take over the world. We‘ve had war since but not like that. At least that is my impression.

Now it’s after 4 AM, the cats think it’s time for breakfast and I have to have some coffee.
I really appreciate your thoughtful reply.

The video posted by Hearlady in post 629 explains the lack of ability of surrounding Muslim countries to challenge the might of the Israeli and U.S. military. And it explains why Russia and China might not want involved.
The US is certain Russia is already involved.

It's believed that Putin made a deal with Iran - Russian soldiers, tanks and maybe jets, plus territory or mineral rights and/or other natural resources in Ukraine and Africa, in exchange for small arms, military equipment, and funding.

Putin is not in a position to fulfill any promises, but he rarely does anyway.

Despite my squawking & riling against the various costumes, I was just in my local Turkish food market and met a lovely woman in full black burkah. All I was able to see of her were her eyes and hands. That did not stop us from having a great conversation about coffee which we both enjoyed very much.

So the Quran just taught hate since ????

If that's the case, then it will never end .
Maybe more importantly, since 1988 the Charter of Hamas (the constitution of Gaza) calls for the eradication of Jews and Israel, and for every Gaza Palestinian to instill in every Gaza Palestinian child the following tenets:

  • Destroying Israel and establishing an Islamic theocracy in Palestine is essential;
  • Unrestrained jihad is necessary to achieve this;
  • Negotiated resolutions of Jewish and Palestinian claims to the land are unacceptable.

Surprisingly, young women have taken to covering their faces. I worked with a young woman, has to be more than 30 years ago. She was one of the first Muslims I had personal contact with. She sewed and had gorgeous outfits with matching scarves which she wore in traditional hijab fashion. After a couple of years, she and her Muslim friends decided to wear all black and cover their faces too. Personally, that's too extreme for me. I didn't start covering my hair until I was Muslim for about 2 years. I wear my head coverings in various styles. I never could do the hijab thing. I'm glad you had a nice conversation.

Considering the fact that the theology of Hamas, to use jihad to establish an Islamic theocracy, is common to all Islamic terrorist groups in the world and all Muslims who support the Quran, how can 3 American presidents say there is no connection between Islamic jihad and Islam?? That doesn’t make any sense. How can the American people buy into that??

Mosab Hassan Yousef, aka; The Green Prince, is the son of a Hamas co-founder who had a change of heart after witnessing years of Hamas terrorism that defied Islam and started working undercover for Israeli intelligence. He thwarted dozens of terrorist plots and saved many thousands of lives.

He is speaking out.

If you want first-hand information about the conflict between Hamas and Israel, what's behind it, how Hamas works, and what to expect, just google his name. You'll see some recent articles, interviews, and videos.

Most Americans....in fact almost all westerners don't know the Qur'an, or don't understand what they've read from it. And most of the bits we hear about are poorly interpreted. Plus, there's off-shoots of Islam just as there are off-shoots of all early religions.

When American politicians decide to give money to Muslim countries for whatever reason (geopolitical, access to oil), they have to convince us taxpayers that we aren't funding terrorists, so they use whatever it takes, including lies, taking advantage of our ignorance.

Yes, I agree most westerners haven't read the Quran or the long history of Islamic wars. I'm not aware of any off-shoots of Islam that don't support the Quran however. The political/financial motivations of politicians to lie to the American people about Islam sounds valid. I guess I was naive when I had a hard time believing an American president would lie to the American people. I thought maybe they just hadn't read the Quran or the history of violent Islam. But, the military was quick to respond and with presidential authority. So there seemed to be a dichotomy between what the presidents were saying and what they really knew. It would be interesting to know all the different reasons the American public bought into the deception.

The protestors calling for a cease fire be like ...

I'm sure the Japanese aggressors didn't represent all the Japanese either, but Japan was the country that harbored them 🤷‍♀️ 🤷‍♂️

The off-shoots support the Qur'an but I guess you could say they have their own take on it or even pervert it.

I don't know what deception you're referring to. Are you talking about US money or aid to Gaza?...or what?

edit: I reread your post. Sorry, yeah, about "no connection between Islamic jihad and Islam"; I'm guessing politicians sometimes have to lie (by omission) in order to prevent war, or to prevent insulting the world's second largest religious group, or so as not to piss off approximately 1.9 billion people, or to prevent a major oil embargo, or maybe just to fleece Americans.

But I'm sure your guess is as good as mine.

1st aid trucks enter Gaza as number of confirmed hostages held in Strip reaches 210

As Israel marked two weeks since Hamas launched its devastating onslaught on southern Israel, the first 20 trucks carrying aid entered Gaza on Saturday through the Rafah border crossing with Egypt.

The aid moved into the Strip amid continued rocket fire toward southern and central Israel, and as the number of confirmed hostages abducted from Israel and held in Gaza rose to 210.

The Rafah border crossing was closed again after the passage of the trucks from the Egyptian Red Crescent, which is responsible for delivering aid from various UN agencies.

It was unclear if any foreign nationals had left Gaza. Ahead of the opening of the border, the US Embassy in Jerusalem had warned of “potentially chaotic and disorderly environment on both sides of the crossing.”

As the trucks went through, an Israeli security official told reporters on Saturday: “As of now, I can tell you that there is no humanitarian crisis in Gaza. There are hardships in moving people within days to the south of the Gaza Strip, but the population is getting along.

“There is no shortage of water in Gaza, there is enough food for the coming weeks, this is in addition to the supply of medicines which, as far as we know, there is no shortage in the hospitals,” he said.

Meanwhile, IDF spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari emphasized that “fuel will not enter Gaza.” Israel is concerned that the fuel can be used by terror groups to manufacture weapons.

The head coverings and clothes are often very stylish and pretty. I have friends who have Muslim carers coming in and they really are very charming ladies.

Iran has issued a chilling warning to the United States that Israel's war with Hamas could 'spiral out of control' if they do not 'immediately' cease strikes on Gaza - as the Israeli government warned it would target Tehran if Hezbollah escalates the conflict.

'I warn the US and its proxy (Israel) that if they do not immediately stop the crime against humanity and genocide in Gaza, anything is possible at any moment and the region will go out of control,' Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said today at a news conference in Tehran.

Israeli air strikes have shown no sign of ceasing as they pounded the Gaza Strip overnight, as well as two airports in Syria and a mosque allegedly used by terrorists in the West Bank, increasing fears that the war could erupt into a regional conflict.

Israelis living near the country's northern border with Lebanon have been evacuated from their homes as the Israel Defense Forces continue to exchange intense cross-border fire with Iran-backed terror group Hezbollah.

In a direct threat to deter Tehran from intervening further, Nir Barkat, Israel's Minister of Economy warned that not only would Israel 'eliminate Hezbollah', if it believes the terror group is opening up a 'northern front', but 'we will actually target Iran.'

Iran warns the US Israel-Hamas conflict could spiral 'out of control'

Netanyahu has warned Hezbollah against opening a second war front against Israel or risk provoking a massive retaliation that would bring 'unimaginable devastation upon Lebanon'.

The Prime Minister said he could not tell his soldiers 'right now if Hezbollah will decide to enter the war fully' but said the fight with Hamas was 'do or die' for Israel.

The stark message comes as fears are mounting that the Israel-Hamas war could provoke an all-out battle in the Middle East, with Britain's Prime Minister Rishi Sunak warning last night that the fighting risks unleashing a 'contagion of conflict' in the region.

Meanwhile, the US Secretary of Defense warned on Sunday that there is a possibility of a 'significant escalation' of attacks on troops and citizens across the whole region.

In an official transcript of a briefing Netanyahu gave Israeli commandos near the Lebanese border he said: 'We're in a battle for our lives. A battle for our home, this is not an exaggeration, this is the war. It's do or die - they need to die.

'And we are now in a double battle: One battle is a battle to hold action here and on the other side, to win there, an absolute victory that will erase Hamas.

'I can't tell you now if Hezbollah decide to fully enter the war. If Hezbollah decides to enter the war [...] They will be making the biggest mistake of their lives. And we will hit them with an unimaginable force. It will mean devastation for them and the state of Lebanon.'

It would seem that it's a miserable existence for children to have to grow up in.

Yep it's mostly the bad using the weak young all over again. How many millions?

Some years ago I was musing about whether WW3 would be between the U.S. and Russia and a Navy officer friend said NO, it would be between 2 ideologies - namely Islam and western style democracy. And he gave me a book on same. We know who the Islamic countries are and who the western style democracies are. But Russia and China are wild cards that don’t fit either mold.

China has been very busy this past decade building trade partners and even paying for infrastructure in some countries to facilitate transportation of goods. They have stayed out of wars around the globe. China hosted a summit last week of several countries and it wasn’t about the Gaza-Israel war. It was about their trade agreements and how to facilitate them. We all know what Russia has been doing this decade. Whether either of these countries are ready for WW3 over Gaza and Israel - I don’t know.

Emphasis mine. China won't want to upset the West since we're their primary consumers. They also put their native Muslims in reeducation camps so they have no interest in defending Islam but do have Middle Eastern oil concerns. Russia...who the heck knows. They're too weakened militarily to make much of a difference in conventional firepower if they join the fray, but just their doing so could tip us into WWIII and Putin is unstable and evil enough to be a wildcard.

The longer these Israeli and Ukrainian conflicts continue, the more likely that the US and NATO members will be dragged into these messes. With all the fanatics roaming around, I will not be surprised if terrorist attacks begin to take place in the US and Europe.
