What’s the weirdest item you keep by your bed?

I don't know if it's weird, but I have a small antique Greek ikon sitting on my bed table. Every morning when I wake up, I say "Good morning, Mary! How's the day going to be?"

The weird part is that not only am I not Greek Orthodox, I'm not even Catholic. AND I bought it in a Moslem country, no less.

I just really like that ikon and my bed table is a good place for it.

an old, bright blue ceramic Whiskey flask from the 1800's. I love the color, so I keep it by my bed! I like waking in the morning and looking at BLUE!

Ok I get it now. The weirdest thing I have on my bedside table is a piggy bank that looks like a cats head on springs with paws. Get it? Put the change in the kitty? LOL

I have a Dream Catcher hanging by my bed... It was a gift to my mother, made by Indian children/ an Indian Tribe in the Dakotas.

Perhaps the "weirdest" thing we keep near the bed is a Fire Extinguisher. We live way out in the country, and under the best of circumstances, it would take a half hour for a fire dept. to respond to a house fire. So, we have placed extinguishers in the bedrooms, kitchen, basement, garage, etc., just to be on the safe side. At least, if something were to happen in the middle of the night, we should be able to clear a path to the door.
