Yep, my Ortho confirmed my left hip has got to go. But, I knew that going in. We are going to wait until spring, as I want my niece up here (she is in Florida now) before I do it. Plus I want my recovery time to be in the good weather, so I can walk outside for exercise. He wants me to spend the next couple months losing more weight as well, as it will make recovery better for me. I will keep every one posted.

Good luck Marie, I will be thinking of you and wishing you the best. Good that you're waiting for spring and will have your niece near, she's a caring young lady. I hope you're able to lose the weight necessary to make the surgery successful. Walking around with your new hip in the spring time will lift your spirits and help with your recovery. Hugs. 🧡

Some very good advise. Usually they want you to perform a series of exercise to help tone up the muscles before surgery. The more you do up front the better your recovery will be. Good Luck!

Do you have a date yet? I'm having mine on April 6, Covid willing.
We will be able to compare notes.

I am going to wait until spring or early summer. So I can do a lot of my recovery walking out side.

I have traveled this road before, with my right hip. A great thing is, no rehab facility. I will go right home and have PT, and home care services here. Plus I will have my friends here in the building for support
