It May Be Good for Me, But I Won’t Eat It

Yogurt may be good for me, but there’s not a chance I’ll eat it. I’m not thinking of the commercially-flavoured kind. It makes me pucker up just thinking about it.

How about you. Any ‘healthy’ foods that you refuse to eat?

Raw seafood (sushi)
LOVE raw oysters but know they can be dangerous (hepatitis)
We eat a lot of that seafood stuff in Hawaii. I love that stuff, but a few years ago we had an outbreak of Hepatitis A caused by a bad shipment of as I remember something like the oysters because they were served raw in sushi.

I have since had the Hepatitis A vaccination injected twice over a years's time as it must be done--added--and then you become immune to Hep A. .

..but Brussels are only likkle baby cabbages...:sneaky::D
Baby cabbages sounds nice, but they're so bitter.

Interesting how different people's taste buds can be.from another person's. From what I understand much of it is genetic.

(Just thought of another thing that is genetic and that's where a person can look up at the sun and have to sneeze and it doesn't affect another person at all.)

yes I've never understood the cause of sneezing when looking at the sun... I've never had it myself...

With the Brussel sprouts the trick to not have them bitter is to choose small ones.. not big chunky ones...blanch them first then cook them for just a few minutes, then when they're cooked add butter to them...or add a little tiny sprinkle of brown sugar and white wine.........but did you know that sometimes Sprouts taste bitter to people due to their genes... and not at all to others..

they don't tsate bitter to me... whereas my daughter has always hated them..

Raw oysters & sushi won't try again. As for what others have posted I eat & enjoy that quite often.
Exception would be. Braunschweiger, haven't had that since leaving Dutch country in Penna. Vegemite haven't had that but sounds interesting.
Brussel sprouts small cut in half boil just enough to soften fry in olive oil while seasoned with Greek seasoning.

How you described the way to cook them sounds like they may just taste pretty good to me.

You are apparently not genetically inclined to sneeze at the sun. I am. What I think happens in that the sunshine makes my eyes water which runs down to the nasal area which then tickles my nose and makes me sneeze.

but Vegemite and Marmite are disgusting.. they're not even good for you..lol... they're just the scraping of slime from the left over brewers yeast extract...

Nutella. I hate it. For some reason many young folks think that it’s healthy. The first ingredient is sugar. The second is palm oil. Third is hazelnuts. Etc. They should learn how to read a label. Do others have Nutella is your area?

Give me pure, natural peanut butter.
