If it was already red, I'd wait it out. But if it was yellow, about to turn red, I'd probably speed through, hoping I'd make it. We have those notorious cameras also. I've gotten caught once or twice.
 

On my motorcycle I was on the way to early breakfast at 5AM. Sat at a light for a few minutes and finally gave up and ran it. Headlights came on immediately. Cop pulls up beside me at the next light and yells "how red was that light back there?" I yelled back "blood red, scarlet red, red as Hell why didn't you come up and trip it for me"? I was laughing and exaggerating horribly. Cop laughed and told me to be safe. I urged him to do the same and saluted him.
 
I had the experience. I was sitting there waiting for the light to change from red to green. I felt stupid.

So then I said to myself. "Are you a man or a machine?". And I proceeded to my destination.

Running the light without stopping. Or stopping and then waiting?

I often wondered. What if the light was stuck on red? What would you do?
 
Well, Camper6. I stopped at the red light. And waited. There isn't a car for miles. No traffic anywhere. This is a long light. I've been stuck there before. After waiting a whole song on the radio, I started to go through the intersection on the red, and the blue lights went on.

The same thing happened to my friend. But he managed to talk his way out of it claiming that the light was stuck. The policeman let him off.

I have been stopped quite a few times. I have never received a ticket for anything except parking.

No one answered my question. What if the light was stuck on red. What would you do?

I've done it before...just waited until the roads were clear and drove through the stuck red light... just hoped I wouldn't get a ticket in the mail, and I never did...
 
You can also get away in some cities that allow a right turn on a red light after coming to a stop. As long as it doesn't take you too far out of your way.
