It's Not The Heat, It's The Humidity

What does dry heat do for one's hair?

Sorry, I should qualify that answer @Pepper ... for myself, I had moved to the desert from Ohio with naturally oily and curly hair. I hated it. (my hair)
My hair felt lifeless all my life to that point, and even with blow drying, it was so hard to style.

Then, moving to the desert, the heat, over time, dried my hair to a point of totally making it feel fuller, and it lightened some too.. I loved that dry heat. So much different than using a blow dryer to get it to maintain a style.

Now, I suppose if a person has dry hair to begin with, they won't be impressed with the desert air like I was ...

My cousin lives in Louisiana and he says that along with the intolerable humidity, he's got the frustration of thousands of flying insects sticking to his sweat every time he steps outside.
Interesting you mentioned Louisiana..I grew up in northern Louisiana, lived there through college then moved to Calif for 50 years, and am now in Florida. I really really dislike the humidity here and can hardly believe I grew up in a humid state..maybe because I was younger and it did not affect me as much?? Or I just didn't know any better except we took out-of-state trips ..still mostly we went east not west.
Talk about insects...Florida has more than its fair share of mosquitos... :(

I would think it would be good. I do not seem to notice the humidity on my hair and that was one thing I wondered about before moving here. I did start using spray wax so perhaps that helps...
