I joined this forum despite the fact that it's USA based and dominated.
I have inherited some intergenerational bias against the USA from my parents who were WW2 veterans. I'm also finding it hard to conceal my contempt for USA as a nation.
I expect to get banned at some stage, but I'll share a comment from my mother who served in the army of occupation in Japan from 1945 - 1947. The Americans are individually charming but not so collectively.

I know how you feel. I've given up on this forum several times. But, I always come back out of curiosity. There are mostly good people here trying to help each other out. Just be careful which threads you read and ignore the ones that turn nasty.

Some Americans share your contempt, but most do not, and I think the majority of those who do not are over 50. So, yeah, it's probably a good idea to save yourself the frustration that could cause.

Haven't been here long enough to know the dynamics between anyone or on any threads, but I will say this much, the US is just as much a citizenship that is fed propaganda as anywhere.

I like to compare things between nations but I sure don't think we have everything right, or are always told the truth either.
