It's time to change the frikken clocks.

Here is my twice a year comment about this. I wish you all would decide one way or another and stay with that time. It is a pain for those of us in Arizona to keep track ! Ok, rant over. I'll rant again in November 😉
And I have no doubt that you will. :ROFLMAO: As for me, I'd like to see Standard Time kept year round... it's just silly to me.... and the only benefit is the reminder to check the smoke alarms. 🤷‍♀️

I guess I’m on the wrong side of this argument. I enjoy having the extra hour of daylight, especially during summer. I liked it when I was a kid and I like it now. Changing the clocks doesn’t cause me any strain and being able to take my run later in the day when the sun is going down and it’s cooler is safer with cars and trucks being able to see me. I wear running clothes with reflective stripes, but sometimes I think drivers try to see how close they can get to me without hitting me. Anyone that hits me better have great insurance.

Hollydolly and her Brits did this a week ago. It's time to change the frikken clocks. There is no real scientific data that this does anything but irritate people. The best data says MAYBE there's a third of 1 percent savings, but that depends on location. Now, for the next week, I'll feel lousy, miserable, out of sorts. It's like calling Monday, "Sunday", so you'll have three days off, but you still have to go to work on the second "Sunday".
There are bills in the US & UK to abolish DST, with overwhelming approval, but haven't enacted them. Australia has repealed it, and OZ hasn't yet fallen into the sea.
I hate this changing time thing.

So, Fuzzy, I read your original post to this thread, and I was going to ask you:

Do you like the time change in the opposite direction, this time of year, any better?

Then I read on through the old replies, and happened across the answer to my question, without my asking:

I just finished changing ahead all 13 clocks and timers in my home, I only have my car left to change. Then........
Son of ...............!!!!!!!!!!
Was it fall ahead??? Fall back. Spring back? Spring ahead??
GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!

I guess I got my answer!
😁😄🥰🤣🤩

The watches I've repaired or changed batteries on, I just leave in the cases.
They will have the right time at least twice a year.

When I lived in Nebraska, my friends who were farmers, could care less when they went into the field.
They have high-tech Combines with Lights, GPS for row recovery and TV.

Light or Dark, they plant and harvest.

I'd rather not change the time. I'm not sure which way I'd want the time to stay, I think I prefer standard time, but a lifetime of getting an extra hour of sleep for standard time and having to get up an hour early for daylight savings time, very likely has prejudiced me.
