Me Too, enjoyed seeing him in that role.He was a favorite of mine on DS-9.
I thought his was among the best minor DS-9 characters they came up with, and few could have played it as well as he did. It was a joy to see him in that role.Another one gone. And yes the DS-9 role. A second wind for his career
RIP
I think he was a man who frequently reinvented himself and was open to new avenues. He had a brief early marriage (1955-58) and remarried in 1960, remaining with her until he died, so a 64 year run. Impressive, particularly for someone in show business. All that I remember about him was that he tried to make it into the music business and did have a few hit songs, but then just kind of faded away from music and took up Directing.

It sure is. He wasn’t real popular with the kids with his music, but his song, “Goodbye Cruel World” may have been in the top 10. Not positive about that. The song “Her Royal Majesty” was also a hit.I think he was a man who frequently reinvented himself and was open to new avenues.
