These days, Lewis spends most of his time at home with his wife, taking it easy. “Oh, I mostly just lay around and rest, and watch old TV, and do my exercising and things I have to do,” he says. Sometimes, he’ll call Little Richard, one of the only other rock & roll innovators left. “Oh, I talk with Richard occasionally,” Lewis says. “We talk about old times, and good times, and what’s going on in our health. He’s a good friend of mine.”

indeed, little Richard was 'confused' to say the least.
I thought he was the greatest in circa 1955-57, of course, had no knowledge of his 'peculiar taste, and other odd behavior.'
Parent's hated him which only increased his attraction

Had no grasp of Jerry Lee and his child bride, "why would he do that for?"
took him many years to climb back to being played on radio, had to switch to hillbilly songs.
I still like 'Middle age Crazy' but each of us make decisions, and we have to pay for those decisions.
I have read he is a 'mean drunk'-drinks (or used to be) heavily when performing, if heckled would start fight...that was 30 years ago.

Doubt either he or little Richard perform now, they must be in their 80's
