Judge Judy's Hair Do ….

I also agree, her previous hairdos were more attractive. She needs bangs on forehead, this new style is too harsh imo. 🤔
 

I'm pretty sure it's her way of a sort-of tribute to Ruth.
When I first saw it, I thought Judy was being replaced....with a housekeeper.
 
I saw a clip about her hair change and she said it was due finding out her viewers ages. The viewers average age has gone down a lot over the years and she wanted a style more fashionable and modern. Maybe she doesn’t realize it ages her.
 
It is an entertainment show, not a presentation of law you would find in a
courtroom.
It is misleading people, judges do not have the ability to interact with ligations (they have the right to clarify a question of an answer) that is all.
Judge Judy's snide comments and opinion will never be heard in a real courtroom.
Remember all litigants have signed documents they will abide with her decision.
The show is misleading and presents a disservice to what actually occurs in a courtroom.
You may find a justict of the peace (the peoples court) who acts somewhat
like judge judy, but I doubt it
Check out her net worth-makes a far greater amount than any movie start.

I don't watch her so had to look her up. She looked better with her former hairdo.

I don't love her or hate her. I don't know if there's a deep-seated reason she changed her hairdo, but all she did was tie it back like a lot of women of all ages do. I don't think it's wonderful, but it's a simple change, I don't care either way.

I think she's fair as a judge. I especially like her decisions when it comes to the care of pets or people will aggressive dogs who attack, they usually pay the price. Just today I caught the tail end of a show where some guy had a problem dog that was supposed to be leashed and muzzled at all times. Turns out the muzzle was faulty and the dog attacked a boy, biting him in two places. The guy also had a smaller dog loose who attacked another kid. Judy gave the maximum settlement for the plaintiff of $5,000, I like to see justice served especially in those cases.

What I'd like to know is, does the victim collect those settlements? Or do they have to hire a collector? Why don't the courts require the payment BEFORE the perp leaves the courtroom? I wonder if that plaintiff actually collected that $5000?

Not actually asking you, SeaBreeze, it's more a rhetorical question.

I don't know, I always thought whoever was awarded got paid by the guilty party in some manner, lump sum or payments. I never thought about it really, was never involved in a court case to know, especially one on TV. :D

I had to go to court once because of a tenant that owed me back rent and I refused to give him back his security deposit when he moved out. The judge said it was illegal for me to keep the deposit, so he told the tenant he owed me rent minus the security deposit. We both walked out of the courtroom and I never saw that money. I thought of getting a collector, but figured the collection expense and hassle was not worth it.

That's weird, so what's the point if the person who goes to court never gets paid?
 
Who cares about her hair! She does a reasonably good job on the bench, such as it is, and is extremely rich for doing so.

When she gets it wrong, she gets it very wrong, but that doesn't really matter, as far as her show is concerned.

From what I remember reading, the show pays the awards, as ruled. There are strictures placed on the litigants, pre-trial, and some people have had terrible times going on the show.
