Have breaded chicken tenders and asparagus in the oven, along with a few potatoes baking. I'm craving potatoes since I've not had any for at least a month.

This time shopping I bought a jar of popcorn kernels to pop on top of the stove. That microwave stuff is not good for us. I stopped popping way back when I got glass top stoves; not wanting to scratch. But I think I can lift while shaking. Wish me luck.

Just past 9am. Haven't slept all night. By about 4 am I knew I had to stay awake all day at least to care for my dog until I can go to sleep very early this evening.

I binged watched a new series on Peacock, something I very rarely do. It's been maybe 2 years since I have. I try sometimes, but then they get boring or just stupid.

This one had me interested for a few early episodes, but then it got really too far fetched. LOL, They were all on cell phones in almost every scene...... never saw anything like it. "Apples Never Fall". (n)

In other news.... one of my kitchen drawers broke away and one side slipped off the track and tipped back and down into the base cabinet, I got it out, but cannot reach in back far enough to attempt to fix it. So my son said he'd come after work Mon to fix. He works only a few streets away.

Good thing I cleaned well yesterday cuz I'm too tired to do much of anything besides walk the dog today!

Love your teakettle, @RadishRose … being left handed, my teakettle rests on the left back burner, with the spout facing the center.
 
Darius is 1 month old tomorrow.
My son was over there Sun. and told me the baby cried for a moment and my grandson jumped up to get him. He told my son, "I can't let him cry, I just can't"!

I got a kick out of this.... asleep on daddy's tummy.

I made chicken enchilada casserole yesterday. Layered rather than rolled. Ate more for brunch, oof- too much. Guess what's staring at me for supper?

May get some rain today.

Dr, appt. today in a little while. Ugh. I absolutely hate going to any doctor at any time, for anything.

DS fixed the kitchen drawer, but I sure don't know how. I am grateful.

Haven't eaten anything yet today pending my Dr, appt at 2pm in anticipation I will get into the lab for blood work right away. Same building.
So hungry. Thinking maybe to treat myself to a roast beef grinder.

I don't buy them often; afraid they may be "old", but I love to eat them. Remember when they were 5.99? Now they're 7.99. Doggie and I feasted last night, but I take the skin off hers.

While shopping, I found chicken livers and cooked them right away for my dog. In a few minute, I'll put them through the food processor for her dinner. The rest is in the freezer.

It's amazing how much the cost of food has risen. Have you found yourself not buying certain items as often as before?

I noticed how the rotisserie chickens have gone up, too. I haven't bought any steak from the store in months, they are just too high. I did get a philly steak sandwich delivered and just that cost 16.99! Your great is so cute and precious.

Thanks for your compliment Ruthie. Hope Suzie feels ok. Mine is feeling her age when she gets up on the morning....like me!

Had baked chicken thighs w/ a brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic and ginger sauce; basmati rice, broccoli in oil and garlic, green beans in tomato, onion and cinnamon sauce, pickles, kim chi and she made a nice tiramisu.

I love having them here.

Not much of an eclipse here.
