Yes, "country" in the past 15 years or so has become the new "elevator music", best left for piped in music heard in restrooms at Pilot, Loves, Buc-ee's and the like. This brought back a memory. When I was a teen, I was given a 5-band radio and loved seeing where I could pull radio stations from. My favorite was from Wheeling and they had some great programming. And I agree% about the "new stuff." When I want to listen to country, it's always the older things... it's gotten horrid in the last 15 years or so. You're right... it's not like country at all.

"Faded Love" is one of the great country songs! I'd forgotten that Bob Wills wrote the song in 1950 (I was 6 yaers old). Who couldn't love this recording? Wonderful.
Ha! You must be a dancin' fool !..Come to Oklahoma!
I had my Physical Therapist work on my steps with me. Had nothing to do with my hand:>)
Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys was a favorite of my dads so of course I didn't like the sound (along with country music in general ) when I was a kid and a teen. But as I got older I learned to appreciate the music my dad enjoyed."Faded Love" is one of the great country songs! I'd forgotten that Bob Wills wrote the song in 1950 (I was 6 yaers old). It's been a long time since I last heard this one! It reminded me of Tennessee Waltz. I like Anne's version better than Patti Page's version...

What a beautiful classic! I love Tubb's original recording, but this is a nice find with Willie.
