Just had an amusing senior moment

I was sitting on the sofa watching TV with a mug of tea in my hand. I got a little bit lost in thought and nodded off. Next thing I know there's a warm wet sensation in my lap and I panicked because I thought I wet myself 🤣 Thankfully, dignity in tack, it was just the tea.

On my way to change out of my soggy, tea soaked trousers, my husband caught sight of me. Cue the laughter "have you tea'd your pants again" he says 🤣 Yes, it's not the first time this has happened. I have Fibro and CFS, so I do have a tendency to doze off like this. Don't worry, I always get my own back when my husband does something silly. We like to keep things humorous, it keeps us going.

Anyone else had a senior moment like this before?

I just spilled my tea on my desk..not funny like yours... but I thought I'd share because I have never done it before, and I literally did it just 5 minutes ago. It spilled all over my 2 external Harddrives as well the desk.. mad panic to get it mopped up...🫣..

You weren't by any chance doing the flappy hands thing while trying to explain something on the phone 🤣 I used to work in a call centre and I remember knocking my cuppa over a couple times that way 🤣

LOL...no I wasn't, I just wasn't paying attention, and I went to put the cup on the shelf of my desk without really looking and it only went on half of the way.. and spilled over..

Love to see tea drinkers talk about their experiences! Loved tea all of my life! Coffee?

I’m 86 and my wife is 84 Jenny. Our daily lives are full of senior moments..😆

A neighbor ask me if I could look at his washing machine to see why his clothes were not getting very clean.
He really didn't want to buy a new machine, but would if there was no other choice.

I asked him to load the machine with a normal load so I could check the wash and spin cycles.
He put in a load of clothes and poured the liquid detergent into the 'Softener' dispenser slot.
I asked him if he did this every time he ran the washer and he said 'Sure, that's where you put liquid
soap.'

I explained to him that he was putting the detergent in the softener dispenser and the soap would only be
released into the final rise cycle, not the main 'wash' cycle.

The look I got was priceless. We had a beer and told him his machine was just fine.
He just kept slowly shaking his head and said he'd been doing this since he got the machine
5 years ago.

Oh yeh, all the time, but it's usually me spilling my tea on other people (I have involuntry jerks of the hands).
Strangely, I do find myself sitting on my own a lot. 😊

When my oldest daughter was a tot, she went through a phase of hiding common objects in unusual places

I went to make tea in a pot at one point… poured in boiling water and recoiled as green, blue and red globules broke the surface of the water

Emptied teapot out, discovered three crayons she had squirreled away in it 🫖🖍️🤪

My Father was like that...The very LAST THING that he would do was...READ the instructions for something. JIM.
