Kathleen Folbigg pardoned

I have been listening to the radio and it is good to hear that she has been supported by some very steadfast women who believed in her; one in particular who has talked to her on the phone, visited and corresponded with her constantly for many years. The same friend has organised somewhere for her to live and bought clothes and other necessities to be waiting for her. She is waiting for her to be released today, with a steak dinner and a hot bath.

Kindness from strangers is a wonderful gift.

How wonderful.

I have no idea, I can't say 100%, but I do know that if the DNA evidence was available then perhaps she would have had a trial that concluded in reasonable doubt.

Unfortunately, once again the media just as they did with Lindy Chamberlain tried and sealed her fate before it even went to court.

You have to ask yourself why did it take foreign experts to somewhat clear both of these women?
Our legal system is a far way from being on par with the rest of the world.

I heard about this on the BBC radio news, then I read
about it in the paper, whatever the evidence, that was
found, some authority in Australia, said, "this woman
should never have been charged with the manslaughter
of her son", that started the ball rolling, I don't know how
they determined that her children all died from Cot-Death,
it must have been some indicator in their organs.

It doesn't matter, her life was destroyed, the minute that
she was found guilty, I feel very sad about this, the fact
that her children are all dead, the fact that she was found
guilty, (wrongly), of murder and manslaughter, also the
fact that her husband didn't support her, or hang around
to try, but maybe she told him to go, he turned away from
her, at the wrong time

I hope that her life improves, though I doubt that she will
ever be happy, having lost her babies.

Very sad.

Mike.
