Keurig Coffee Machine...

Hello everyone... Yesterday afternoon, I finally got around taking part our keurig and cleaning it. It was almost just dripping coffee into our cups, and sometimes only a 1/2 cup when you wanted a cup so you would have to hit the button twice... So if you turn on your keurig, and it won't work and all lights are blinking, and your turn it off and on... and all the lights just keep blinking...

There is a way to reboot the coffee machine... (turns out it is very popular with these coffee machines) So, when all the lights are blinking, and you have the little keurig, push the auto off, and small, and large coffee cup at the same time... and it will reset, and work again, if you have the machine with the 3 coffee cup sizes, then hold down the Auto Off and the medium and large cup at the same time, and there you go, you are back in business...

I was almost ready to take the machine down to the garage, and rip it open to try and figure out the problem, when I remembered YOUTUBE and looked it up... and there it was... Hope that helps everyone out there who loves their Keurig Coffee Machine as we do...

I have a coffee machine very temperamental lol -but like all machines what ever the make
u do need to de-scaling like u do a kettle ' then mine works brilliant whoooosh fast ..🤪

I've had 2 Keurigs; both broke. I could never figure out how to get it dry inside. To me, it's one big PITA; I tossed them both and will never go through that hassle again. Not to mention over-priced. Coffee from a press tastes better, imo, anyway.

I bought reusable K-cups almost immediately. We have about 30 of them. Each morning, I drink one cup of medium strength half-caff, then switch to decaf; Sweetie likes his fully leaded and strong. We each fill some pods every few days and keep them in a Tupperware type container next to the Keurig, and have a pretty ceramic bowl to keep the spent ones. A couple of times a week I spend 20 minutes dumping out the grounds (they go into our green recycle container). Then I rinse the pods and give them a swipe with an old toothbrush, put them in a colander, and set it outside to dry in the sun for half a day.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

The idea of all that expense and trash really grated on me so I found a work around tout de suite!

I feel like the dad on the TV series, "Frasier", who just want old fashioned BLACK COFFEE. None of that latte stuff. NO cappuccino this or that. That's all I like- a nice hot, unfoamy, cup of just black coffee, which comes out of my 20 year old Black & Decker coffee maker.
BAH HUMBUG!!!!!!!!:)

The Keurig is OK - for people who aren't picky about coffee. They can't get the water up to the proper temperature for flavor extraction, which is 195 - 205. And, if you're only making 1-2 cups, a $15.00 pour over will work much better than a Keurig.

We've thought about trying one of these "single serving" coffee makers a few times, over the years.....but our old Cuisinart just keeps on working great.

Oh get over yourself. I'm picky about coffee and I love our Keurig; we have had Keurig machines for years and you can't beat them for convenience. The coffee is excellent if you select the brew you like.

We love our Keurig. It has a water temp setting that gets hot enough. There are 5 choices for amount of water, strength of coffee. We have the reusable pods, easy to dump/wash/dry.

After cleaning the machine, if it doesn't want to work, I hold it upside down over the sink and smack it a few times on the side. Then it works. Apparently some tiny minerals from the water will get stuck and hitting it dislodges them? Learned the trick on YouTube.
