King Charles Diagnosed with Cancer...

🙏 for King Charles, 🙏 also for Prince William and Princess Kate so much more pressure for them at this time.
I just wanted to say how much I enjoy Lady Colin Campbell, she is a wealth of knowledge as you pointed out Holly, and she makes me laugh though sometimes does lean to the dramatics. From all accounts H and M are not wanted in the UK and rightly so, I hope that when Harry does meet his father, King C will have a third person in the room.
Oh goodness, I do too.. and I hope his advisor's press that point home to him...

I'm a big fan of Lady Colin Campbell too.. I have all her books.. and I subscribe to her youtube channel... she's such a character, but very intelligent.. .but boy does she have a temper when roused...:D

The Queen Mother had surgery to remove a tumour after being diagnosed with colon cancer. Some years later (1980's I believe), she had breast cancer and underwent surgery to remove a lump. To be honest, I only know this because I remember a work friend having breast cancer at the same time and she mentioned it.

Hopefully they have discovered the cancer early and he will make a good recovery.
That's reassuring, it shows so many people do recover and go on to a good old age.

I bet Meghan is distraught because it means no attention on her for a long while! She can't play her self-centred games for now. I bet nobody cares or wants her visiting, she will be alone at home while Harry returns to visit his father. It may make him think again about how important his family really is.

Just a question coming from Kate's foggy 5 a.m. brain this morning... should the unthinkable tragedy happen that someone asked about here yesterday, and George would need a Regent, would our UK members here vote for (if you had a choice, I know you don't) Harry (who would *be* the Regent) ... or Andrew?

Actually, I think Anne would be the best choice.

Thanks @Trish... I don't recall hearing about Her Majesty's health conditions after she suffered the lost of Prince Phillip. I thought that Covid and mourning had something to do with her demise.

As I recall, her death certificate states dying of old age. Which due to her want of privacy might be the result that we won't know for certain what was the real cause.

I'd just heard of Sarah, Duchess of York having had breast cancer and then apparently, skin cancer... Never knew about the Queen Mother, other than a hip surgery and a fish bone lodged in her throat.

Wow! Therefore, you might be onto something... Thanks for sharing!
Apparently (I have not read it) in Gyles Brandreth's biography Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait, he says that he had heard the Queen had a form of Myeloma but, of course, that does not make it true. I don't think he was suggesting that she died of it though, just that it was something she suffered from during the last year of her life.

Anne is going to be stepping in for the King in the immediate days while prince Willim has his own work, as well as his wife recuperating at home...

Harry is supposed to be on his way today...

This has been a horrendous month for the Family.. First Sarah and her breast cancer, and skin cancer..

Then Catherine's mysterious abdominal issues ( potentially hysterectomy) ... then the King with Prostate problems, and now Cancer.. of what we're yet to learn..

the problem with all of this with the British Tabloids, is that they will all have gained new titles... or subtitles to their own...

From henceforth it will be King Charles.. who is suffering from cancer...or has recently been diagnosed with cancer... even if he lives to 90.. it'll be Charles the cancer survivor... as they will with Sarah et al...

Very sad news and with not a lot of information, which is certainly their prerogative, it's really unknown to the public at this time.

I too was thinking @hollydolly that there is longevity in that family and not a lot of cancer.

yes and that would pretty much seem the case with the extended family as well until relatively recently.. ( The Queens' father excepted)..I always thought and still do that it's due to their high level of medical care... and also the whole family eat pure organic foods... ( and the Queen mother aside).. no-one has ever been reported as being heavy drinkers.. or in fact being overweight... so all that pretty much keeps most people from most cancers... and would seem to have done that in the case of the Windsors and the huge extended family... until now....

All smiles this afternoon as he's driven home to Norfolk...

...and Harry is back... and has had a brief meeting with Charles.. no doubt meeting up later today...

The explicit lack of info, and the return of the prodigal son, suggests this is worse news than we could imagine.

I hope I'm wrong.

Yes, this makes sense. Something easily treatable or with a decent prognosis (in my opinion) wouldn't have had Harry rushing back the very next day. And I hope you're wrong, too.

I don't think that there was any prostate problem, I think
that he was in for two days of tests for pain or nausea, in
another area, the prostate, was a cover-up.

Mike.

Mike.
I heard a cancer doctor say last night that in men most diagnoses of bladder cancer come from routine prostate problems.
