Ladies, Do you love to wear jewelry?

Gaer

Do you wear jewelry often? Do you have favorite jewelry which you wear quite often?
My Mother loved jewelry and my daughter loves jewelry. I consider myself feminine but have never liked to wear any kind of jewelry.
But, I'd love to see YOUR favorites!

When I was younger, I liked to wear a little now and then; a ring and bracelet set I had, or a thin gold chain and gold bracelet. Earrings, not so much.

Jewelry kind of bothered me. Especially earrings. I was always fiddling with it, or losing something, etc.

All I wear now is my mother's oval garnet ring in a thin gold setting and a small gold domed ring.

I liked to wear jewellery .. until it was all stolen in a break-in. After that, all I bought was pierced earrings. Haven't been wearing them since we masked up. Still wear rings .. one on each hand, and the occasional bracelet or necklace that were gifts.

I wear earrings (both hoops and studs), and of course my wedding ring, but nothing else.

When I was younger I liked jewelry, but once I reached my 30's, jewelry lost it's appeal with me and never returned.

I always have earrings on. Usually I alternate between my small diamond studs and white gold loops but I'll wear some "fun" earrings on occasion.

I like bracelets. Necklaces, not so much, though I have a lot of them. Rings, yes. I'll wear one or two at a time.
See? Wearing earrings seems so sophisticated to me. My daughter always tells me to wear them.
I don't have pierced ears and don't want them.
I have to force myself to wear earrings and then it feels unnatural to me. What's wrong with me?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with you, Gaer.

Jewelry isn't for everyone. There was a time when my husband dreamed of owning a really nice and expensive dress watch, he had his heart set on a Baume & Mercier, that was back in his early 40's, now, he can't stand the thought of wearing a wrist watch.

I love silver jewelry, wear a silver dolphin ring on my right hand which I've never take off except when necessary
I wear a Timex watch with silver band,my necklace is 2 tiny silver dolphins
I've never worn earrings, doesn't appeal to me

One night at a place in Glasgow called The Old Fruit Market, we were at vintage style function. A young lady was so taken by my wife's appearance she came over and commented that my wife wore earings that matched her dress. "So does the necklace," my wife said. "It's called co-ordinated jewellery," she added. My wife's admirer asked if she could take a photo.
"That will be one for Facebook," I whispered in her ear. "No doubt," she said.

It’s been minimal this past year. I didn’t wear my wedding ring for the year. As Remy said, the hand sanitizer and jewellery don’t mix.

Since I have no place much to go, I rarely wear jewellery any more. Not much point for a quick trip to the grocery store or walking around the block. My clothes are decent, I just feel no need to add extras.

My earrings are essential. I feel naked without them even though they’re just small.

I have a couple of racks that I hang necklaces on. I think I like buying more than wearing. None of these are more than $25, mostly made by locals.

Gaer, I don’t know if you dress in southwestern attire. I’ve always loved the look with silver & turquoise & corrals.

I usually wear earrings/necklace or bracelets that co-ordinate what I'm wearing.. but I only wear earrings if I'm wearing my hair up... and I don't wear a necklace, bracelet/s , watch & earrings all at the same time...

I rarely wear rings,..I have ugly hands so I don't want to draw attention to them

Nice picture^. I wear jewelry everyday even when I'm not going anywhere and coordinate with whatever I am wearing. I enjoy rings too but don't have as many as I would like.

Not a thing. :) Wife has never worn any jewelry nor has any inclination to.

Did they manage to get the new hole right where the first one was? My piercing were done years ago and the opening is very small. Any earrings have to have a very thin post. Even wearing an earring with a wide post to stretch the hole hurts so much that I gave up trying.

What a cute gal. Love the necklace.

I got my left ear pierced in 1982 when it was becoming fashionable for males. I wore a stud, then a pearl, then a ring, then I got dangling ones with cool trinkets. Always wore them until about 2005. My partner and I got yin and yang earrings , she wore one and I wore the other. I also wore a necklace on a thin silver chain. Something like this ( lost it one day wrestling with her son ).

No, I am not a lady, and I shouldn't of posted...but I didn't want to start a new thread and be left out in the cold.

I have necklaces, bracelets, watches. But, all I wear are my hoop earring and (i think i already mentioned) my $10 watch w/a gold band from Target.

Years ago when I needed some $$ for my property taxes or something, I sold some of my gold ie: gold chain necklace, old wedding ring, some other gold stuff I had. It was just sitting around, never wore it anymore...and no one to leave it to.

Indeed, why is it limited to women - dare I ask?
