Landlord Finds 19 Tarantulas, 1 Python Left Behind by Tenant

Never understood snakes as a pet. Probably somekind of status symbol to the tenant. POS won't even take his collection with him. Deadly pets left in a rental unit. Gee was the tenant leaving a message for the landlord?

Did they recently find a mountain lion/cougar in a Nyc apartment?

I would have taken the snake, if they needed a home. Our son and I would have had a pet snake... not a python... if my wife would have permitted it. Not much different than having fish or a turtle or other reptiles.
The spiders. No way!!!! Still have scars from two recluse spider bites in 1960!! My mother would squeeze oodles of gunk out of them when I got home from school for days. Still hate any biting or stinging insect!!!!

I wouldn't have taken any of them. My sons had a few tarantulas and garter snakes when they were young. I was afraid of all of them. I had planned to start out with a hermit crab, but inexplicably, the guy at the pet store wouldn't let me buy one. He said I wouldn't be the optimum owner. So I bought the kids what they actually wanted.

My brother has a lifelong friend nicknamed Snake. I don't even know if anyone remembers his real name. He and my brother were housemates for awhile. I went over to visit my brother and there were about 5 cages in the living room, each with a large scary snake in it. Like boa constrictors ... I don't know what the rest were. We stayed in the kitchen to talk after that.
