Last British Monarch

Today marks the anniversary of the death of the last British monarch, Queen Anne, in 1714. She was the last of the Stuarts (Stewarts) from Scotland.

Since then they've all been Hanoverian, from Germany (the last English monarch is way, way back!).

And Queen Anne's pedigree, way, way back? No French or Viking?

Obviously, but that applies to most of the inhabitants of the UK, and indeed most WASPs in the world, though there was no France, as such, at that time and her antecedents came from Brittany.

However, she does go back to The Bruce, which is pretty Scottish!
