apparently a common interior...

Barndominium house plans are country home designs with a strong influence of barn styling. Differing from the Farmhouse style trend,

There are lots of "Barnaminiums" in my area but they're not newly constructed, they're converted from actual barns and they're spectacular.

This $3.19 million beauty is five minutes from me but it was moved to it's present location. The old barn was taken apart and numbered piece-by-piece before it made the move.

The home features an open floor plan with a view of the surrounding 11.72 acres, pool and gardens. It also features a master bathroom shower made from thousands of glass tiles, a media room with a projection TV, a balcony with a fire ring, and there's an elevator in the silo!

Wow!

First time that I have heard the term barnaminium. What would you call a former church? This incredible three-storey church conversion in West London is nothing short of breathtaking. The floor plan includes four ensuite bedrooms, an open-plan living area, two kitchens, a laundry room, an office and even a gym, but it's the sheer scale of the interior is incredible, I wouldn't want to do the cleaning.

This was interesting!. It's too "barn-y" for me, but I'm sure it will sell. But, I think they'll have to come down on the price.
I can honestly say the barn that Joanna designed is the only renovation of hers that I never liked. She put the dining room on the main floor and the kitchen is one floor up. It would be a little tricky bringing the turkey and gravy down the stairs! :ROFLMAO:

Nice to see you, caroln,
and that's a Good point, :ROFLMAO:
and one to keep in mind, for any of us who have plans for such types of homes.:geek:
And was it a circular staircase?....

Might I make some suggestions, ;) for improvements on Joanna's designs ...:sneaky::LOL:

Has anyone seen those old 'dumbwaiters' in gigantic old buildings,
tiny elevators
that transferred things between floors?
Such as huge platters of foods to serve 100 friends and family members, on a different floor.;):geek::giggle:

I can just see myself face-down at the bottom of the stairs, turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, mashed taters ..... all strewn across the floor. "Folks, we're heading to the ER. Please help yourself to the vegetable platter or anything on the floor if you can get to it before the dogs do. Happy Thanksgiving and we'll see you next year....at a restaurant."

@Kaila 👍...latest 'thing' for large multi-level stories..
Is..the personal elevator.

I know someone will help...with picture🤗

They’re putting personal elevators in basic townhouses for retirees now. They don’t have the land for a large single story so they build up to get the floor space and views.
