Latest scam "payment" notice

They're at it again, first it was thanking me for my payment to McAfee antivirus, kind of a joke since I don't even use Windows. But, had to double check my accounts, not a bad idea anyway. This morning I got a payment "thank you", this time for a 2 year subscription to Norton...$300. Ha, that's a lot of money for a bunch of bogus software, back in the early 2000s when I did use Windows I'd pay 18-20 dollars for Norton antivirus.
I don't quite know how the scammer operates, there is no clickable link in the email, just an attached .PDF file. Gmail scanned it with their malware detection system. Just a phone number for "customer service"...

I keep getting the most annoying pop ups reminding me to renew McAfee Antivirus! I've never had McAfee! My malware detector doesn't react to this and it is awfully hard to get rid off. It pops up every hour and you have to go through the whole rigamarole of pretending to subscribe until you finally get a screen with that glorious little "x" to shut things down! So frustrating, a sweep by my current anti-virus proclaims that all is well.

Just a basic rule of thumb...double check to make sure the sender is who they claim by letting your mouse point hover over the sender name. Also if the email is about something that needs urgent attention or something suddenly out of the ordinary or from someone you don't know...delete it.

If it is someone you know always double check the sender's email address. Once I got an email from a friend whose email had been hacked but didn't appear so when I opened it. Boy was I wrong.

Gotta love those. I keep getting emails on my chromebook for McAfee antivirus subscription needing to be pd. and I no longer have one or even use my windows laptop. LOL!
Same here, I keep getting a notice on my Windows 11 PC that I have to upgrade McAfee. It is very annoying because the window keeps popping up and I have no way of stopping the foolishness.

Looks like I am [once again] the proud owner of another cryptocurrency purchase(NOT!)

Looks so legitimate, but it's just another baloney sandwich.
