Yep, it's happened to me, too. So I thought it would be a good thing for my fading self-esteem to talk to fellow Boomers.
Good Things: I eat right, keep a healthy weight (okay, I need to lose 20 pounds), get plenty of sleep, have a life passion (besides my husband) of crochet, power-walk six to eight miles a day, and can't remember the last time I needed to see a doctor.
Bad Things: My stubborn nature and preference for being a loner have morphed me into a crotchety old woman too much of the time. I need to socialize more and quit being such a PITA.
So here I am and hoping I'll be welcome with all my faults, anyway. I've been reading several of the recent threads and have much enjoyed the give-and-take.
Oh, we're retired on 30 acres in western Washington where I try to recreate the farm life I grew up with back in the Sixties -- can't imagine life without my chickens and garden.
