Learning How To Live Life

Health care is a very stressful environment. Especially being there every day. When I worked as a CNA, I loved my residents and they loved me. It wasn't them that made the job stressful. It was the other workers (not the ones on my shift we all worked together) on the other shifts. Whine, whine, whine............ And then you had the ones higher up. Not the nurses. But the ones who told you what to do but never did it themselves and didn't know what they were talking about. I feel for you. Hope you have a good day.
 

Today was somewhere between busy and not so busy. So I just took my time cleaning. Got kicked out of 1 or 2 rooms I had started on again. But it's the ER so they come first. We have so much traffic in there we're not able to clean after every patient.

I work the 4th but I get holiday pay that I desparately need so I'm ok with that.

Not much will be going on this weekend. A few groceries & I might start decluttering the closet in the bedroom.

I completed my tiny boutique game so I'm looking for something else. I downloaded Elder Scrolls Blades again plus a Harry Potter game.

There was a system update on my phone and they changed some stuff on it so I'm trying to get used to that. Ugh! My phone case fit except for the holes for my buttons were off so I gotta look for a different one. Meanwhile I'm caseless. I don't like that but it's how it is. There's a pretty one on Amazon I found just now and put into my cart.

Working today and tomorrow. Then off the weekend and just looking forward to the rest.

That's frustrating when the phone case fits but the holes aren't in the right places.

So many things are like that, I have found.

I meant items purchased or for sale,
but it also seems like sort of a metaphor for life, now that i think about it.?🤔🙄😏
Things should work right and go well, and almost do, but don't.

Sorry I wasn't on yesterday. I hurt a finger at work. I got a piece of metal flake shoved up under my fingernail and had to cut it halfway back with the fingernail clippers to get it all out. So it was hurting pretty bad last night. I soaked it soapy water and put antiobiotic ointment and a bandaid on it. I soaked it again this morning and drained it some and put more ointment and bandaid on. I'm taking bandaids and ointment with me in case I need to doctor it at work.

My crappy neighbors in the hood kept me awake by setting off fireworks every 2 hrs til around 4:30 this morning so I'm not well rested.

We had a guy try to come into the ER lobby last night with a very large knife and he was wearing body armor and carrying a suitcase. Claimed he just wanted a drink of water. He got chased out by 3 security guards because he refused to listen and was smart mouthing them. Who wears body armor for no reason? If the guards hadn't run him off I hate to think what could've happened.

And those relentless fireworks are miserable when we need sleep so badly.😫

LOL! I'm hoping they get rained on.

The finger is actually looking pretty good considering. It's not feeling warm or getting infected looking. It's just tender. I put on a fresh round of ointment and bandaids after supper. If I keep soaking it and using my ointment and draining it if it will allow me to, I should be ok.

Might hafta wait on groceries. I hear they cleaned the store out for the 4th. Oh well.

When I go home if I'm tired I'm gonna put my ear plugs in and go to bed.

So sorry you hurt your finger! I hope it will be ok! That strange knife holding guy sounded scary! So many weirdos everywhere Now A Days! I'm glad they got him out of there. I think maybe he should have been arrested! He sounds very threatening !

Anyhow I hope your evening goes better!

The earplugs are so the fireworks become very muffled. Helps me sleep more.

So far my finger looks good and doesn't feel to awful. The Neosporin is helping too I think.
Waiting to see if the fireworks die down.

Grocery order is in. I'm trying a different phone case. We'll see if it works. It has kitties on it.

Having ramen. Might make another package.
 
Morning.

Finger will be tender for a while but so far I don't see any infection. Got the groceries coming soon. All that talk of ice cream in that other thread made me buy some. LOL!

I actually got some sleep last night. It was nice. 😁

I think I'm gonna make chicken salad for dinner later.

After the groceries get here I might take a nap.
 
I still have Vita Color for seniors and Stardew Valley on my phone. I added Elder Scrolls: Blades, Hogwarts Mystery & Kingdom Rush Tower Defense. The KR TD game is actually kinda fun. Our new supervisor that is taking over when my friend leaves plays it. He's a younger fella but a good employee.

There's other Tower Defense games on Google Play but I don't wanna get burnt out on them.

I found another one on the Walmart site I'm gonna try. I think when I typed in to search for one I didn't add the UW to the end which is part of the phone style. If this other one doesn't fit there's a couple on Amazon I'm looking at. One of them is another Otterbox.

Then there's one in a wallet style with RFID protection for cards inside. I've never shopped on Etsy before. I've looked at it but never shopped on it. Thank you for the information.

You're welcome. Walmart does have some good buys. I love phone cases; there are some really pretty, fun ones out there.
 
morning everyone!

finger is almost all healed up. hope the nail grows back ok. i still will keep it bandaged at work. speaking of which...back to it today. wish it wasn't so hot.

got a bill coming in the mail that might be my hospital bill. i'll hafta send in for my financial assistance. ugh!

I stayed and cleaned the trauma room because it was really bad. Usually the nurses help but tonight they were scattered. I was late getting out. I told them there was a few things like equipment and some bio that needed to be cleared and cleaned but I had the bulk of it done.
