I don't use brand name normally. I can get a big jug of the walmart brand for less. I'll look at the husks though. Thank you.
 

Geez, at work anymore they're either writing us up for everything or threatening to write us up. Not a very fun work environment anymore. It's starting to make me kinda mad. I don't like people who use scare tactics because they lack leadership skills.
 

Got my lung medicine ordered and cached all the apps on my phone to it runs nice. I just ordered some McDonalds. I had to order some lice medicine cuz a patient had lice and everyone was treating them before they knew so no protective stuff. So I got some Nix shampoo plus they had this handy little pack that has a spray to treat bedding and furniture. Made my grocery bill a little higher but I want it just in case. LOL!
 
Feeling very blah today. My hip is hurting. Not sure if it's sciatica or my femoral nerve. I think it's pinched from sleeping on my side all the time cuz of the cpap. I'm taking turns with heat and ice and some gentle stretching.

Might do a hot epsom salt bath later. Didn't sleep well so I'm exhausted.
 
Having some hot tea this morning. I spent the rest of the day in bed alternating hot and cold on my hip and not doing much and it feels better today so later I will take a shower and decide what I wanna do today. I took some trash to the bin this morning. It's not bad out but it was sprinkling and looks like it might have rained some. It's cloudy out too.

Tuesday when I go back to work I have to pick up my Rx for my Roflumilast. I'll have to call the pulmo and see if he wants to up it to 500 or wait yet. It works well enough that my O2 sats are usually in the upper 90s and I don't hardly need my inhalers. But I have to use them for maintenance of my COPD.

I wish my primary doc was as helpful and kind as my pulmo doc. I think from now on when I get sick I'm gonna go to Urgent Care rather than farting around with my primary. I'll see if I have better luck getting the care I need. Plus if I call my pulmo he can send an Rx for antibiotics as well so that's a plus.
 
Some gaming today. Not sure what i will do later yet.

Have you been to any of your local urgent care places before?
If so, how are they for you?

How does one manage to fill them in on all the medical history, there on the spot?🤔

Do you follow that KC nfl team with the incredible QB?🤗
 
@Kaila they have your med history on their computers and it's in your file. they update your info i think when you go in. i've never had any trouble with them. i've been a few times. they're more likely to treat me i think than my primary at this point who's been being a real jerk lately.

i would change doctors but the family practice across town isn't covered by my ins. and i don't know if any of the others in the medical arts building would take me.

i watch all the kc games i can. it's only on certain nights on paramount. i was looking at the schedule last night and have the dates i'm gonna be home in my phone calendar. 😁

if i wanna watch baseball or basketball i gotta pay extra for that. baseball is boring to me. i like basketball but not enough to pay for it. lol! do you enjoy football?

That sounds good what they do with your record at urgent care.

I guess if i went to one here, for myself or took dh to one, the first visits would have endlessly long intakes 😊🤭

I don't think they can access any of our hospital computer system, like most all of our Dr's can, and our ER, of course. All the same computer records. Already in there.

So every time i consider going to an urgent care, I end up deciding not to, and taking him to someplace with that same computer system we're already in.
 
For you to watch the kc games, they have to be on Paramount And you have to be off work, right?

I'm in New England, where the whole region follows the Boston sports teams.... The years of a young Tom Brady , who was drafted in the end round, and became an unexpected phenom, were fun to watch. Several super bowls, like your team is doing now.

I still follow them a little.

I kinda like the boring- Ness of baseball.

Basketball is my favorite to watch. I wanna play vicariously in my wild imagination.

For those of you who posted nice comments on my other diary after I left, I appreciate it. Thank you. I've missed some of you.

I just got out of the hospital yesterday afternoon. I've been in the hospital twice now since last November. First time was with pnuemonia/respiratory failure. This time I had a bacterial infection/respiratory failure. Good fun. LOL! I'm home resting and will return to work Tuesday with a little more wear and tear.

They finally got us a new pulmonologist and he's stated he would like to see me get a job that's less physically demanding. So, if things go well, I plan to look for a desk job starting in 2026. I think it's time to hang up my hard working shoes for something a little less tiring. I don't want to but, my body isn't going to put up with much more.

I've had no car for couple years now I think. I'm getting to know the Uber drivers pretty good. *Giggles*

After mom's funeral in 2021 my brother and his wife quit talking to me along with some of the other family members. Father and I tried to build a relationship but it just didn't work out. He was being abusive again and I decided it was no longer a fruitful venture. So, I made the painful decision to go no contact. It was what was best for me. I am finally starting to heal and live life.

I have information on several jobs I could get that don't require degrees or experience. Ones I'd probably enjoy. I have no issues with working at a computer all day. I'm on mine all the time at home.

I hope every one is doing well. And I hope we can start again.
