I used to ask for a lemon in my water when eating out but no more as I saw on the internet that everybody that works in restaurants puts their hands in the sliced lemons and most without gloves. So I will buy my lemons and put in my water myself.

Good idea, I rarely go out to eat but the servers should wear gloves imo. I like to put slices in a tall 32 oz. glass of ice cold water...yum.

Not sure I believe any of that........tried it for years, on a day-to-day basis , it did nothing for me.

That said, it is very refreshing & one of my favorite drinks....particularly in the warm weather months. Poor mans Lemonade ? :)

The bottled lemon juice is much easier, but even though the label says 100% lemon juice....The [purist] say it is not the same. Not sure I believe that either?

Well, it did do something for you imo..it made you refreshed, no? Yes, poor man's lemonade and better off without sugar, imo again.

I live where allot of Australia’s citrus is grown I like fresh lemon juice in water no sugar
When I was young I’d eat fresh lemons with salt sprinkled on them
I went out for dinner a few nights ago for my birthday my drink was water with wedges of lemon

A couple years ago a local survey was done on Houston, Tx restaurants beverages with lemons served in the glasses and they found 67% of them tested contained fecal matter. Bottoms ups!

I take 2 tablespoons full of organic pure lemon juice in the mornings with water, I also add some baking soda to the mix which is supposed to help with alkalinity. But just the lemon water is definitely beneficial in so many ways, it's also supposed to increase metabolism. :lemo:

Not surprised! I always ask for a small glass of water and barely drink but a few sips. I do make lemonade at home when lemons are on sale or if my lemon tree has a good harvest! Here lately my daughter has been having food delivered to me as a special treat. She has a door dash account and for Easter I received a free delivery coupon from Denny's for Easter. I did not feel like going out after services so she came over and had a huge breakfast delivered for us. We had a lovely visit as she usually works Sundays at the pharmacy but had this one off. Our food came in 30 minutes and I had enough for breakfast the next day. I would not spend the money for delivery but she is a pharmacist and can well afford it. At least this time the delivery was free. I enjoyed her visit more than the food! She picked up hot coffee from Starbucks for us on her way over. A really nice treat for me as I would not spend the money for it!!Sorry to get off the lemon topic.

I may get some organic lemons at our new Lucky's store and use those. Didn't know that about baking soda. How much do you add to how much water?
