Lester Holt replaces Brian Williams

I'm amazed that Williams still has a job with NBC at all, even on the 'poor cousin' cable outlet. Fine with me, though. I ALWAYS liked Holt a lot better, anyway.

Now I just want to see Williams interviewing Rachael Dolezal in prime time. They can call it, "Frick and Fake".

What does it matter? Today's News anchors only say what the Corporate owned media want them to say.. and ignore news they don't want out there.. Who cares who's sitting in one of those chairs..
 
Wonder how many of your threads others don't give a rip about. hmmmm...Hey, you can't stop people from having a discussion - that's not the way it works, QS...... and I doubt you can prevent a network from airing/printing a story. If YOU don't care, fine. Move on.
 
QS I used to come home from work tired, turn on the new to CBS with Walter Cronkite and if Walter ended up letting me feel we'd be alright, I would sleep well. I trusted him and respected him. Those days are largely over, I read and I watch lot's of news but I am never sure anymore about the REAL truths.

That's exactly right.. The entire media is owned and operated by SIX corporations... and corporations being what they are, control what news they want out there... It doesn't matter who is reading it... Real reporters are not allowed to report anymore.

Nostalgia be damned! I just want to settle in with my TV dinner each evening to find out how many innocents were massacred by the mentally defective offspring of our god-fearing republiclown contingent today.

And that's where Williams went wrong not reading the news and throwing in his two cents and/or story "enhancements". I always felt Holt was more professional because Lester Holt is Lester Holt. He is consistently consistent in his demeanor & delivery.
