Its 5 am here in the Clear Lake area of Houston and we have a good inch I'm this area. In Houston, freeways are being monitored and overpasses taken care of. School is starting later this morning. Supposed to be 50 later on so will all be gone. But for right now its beautiful. Local news anchors are singing snow songs and we are under a weather advisory. Last advisory we had was Harvey!!! Its just now approaching downtown but here near the coast it is beautiful!! Know this isn't much to anyone else but we have pics of snowmen all over the local news. It was 82 a couple of days ago and 32 now. Some overhead ramps now closed as they try to find the equipment to clear. Ha!!

I bet it's pretty there. We are due for some snow in a few days here in Ohio. When places aren't used to snow they have to figure out all the ins and outs of the equipment. Enjoy it while it lasts!

It is 18 degrees up here North of Dallas!!!!! Too cold for snow ( no humidity) but that's ok!!!

Have another cup of coffee and enjoy your twenty-four hour winter!!!

My nephew's wife just posted some pictures of their home in Spring Texas. I knew Dallas but got snow once in awhile but Houston ? I'm shocked !

We're supposed to get 3" - 6" of snow starting tomorrow morning. It's only Dec. 9. I hate winter. All the mindless stupid shoveling and slipping on ice, freezing to death while the car heats up and my tea goes cold. I've got a million things to do and the last this I need is for winter snow storms to start a month and a half early messing up all my plans. There. I've vented. :eek:nthego:

Thanks, but this is enough snow for me. I could not do it for months like others do. The little we got today will last me for a few years!!!

About 33 years ago, it snowed maybe a half inch or so in Jacksonville. We all piled into cars and drove like mad to get up there and show my 3-year-old niece snow. The city had come to a thundering halt, bridges closed, offices closed, I-95 closed. All for a half inch of snow. We pulled into a parking lot, scraped snow off the pavement to have a snowball fight and pull her around on a piece of plastic. Then we drove back to Orlando just in time to see it snowing....just a few flakes in the headlights.

Never mind snow at the Alamo. I have 3" of the stuff on my deck. It's a little early for that in Northeastern PA.

Ditto in Boston. There'll be over six inches before it ends. Then we get another snow storm Tues. and another Fri. I just hate this stuff. It looks pretty for maybe five minutes before vehicle exhaust fumes turn it grey, then black and it will stay that way, dirty, filthy and disgusting until it melts in April. Welcome to winter! It turns me into a grumpus.

Snow all gone. Enjoyed what we had. Low in the 40's tonight and next weekend highs in the 70's. Guess this is all of our winter. Okay with me. A little goes a long way with me!. daughter in Va. sent pics of her patio and flower boxes covered in thick snow. She loves how fresh the air smells. I couldn't live there and navigate in it.

We had snow in north Georgia this past week. Started snowing early Friday morning and ended around noon on Saturday. Think our total was 8 to 10 inches. It was beautiful. Now Monday, early evening, and most is already gone.

This is a small corner of my garden..we've had snow for 2 days now... probably about 3 or 4 inches thick..
