LGBTQ books in public school libraries

It's not progress if mankind dies not remain decent and selfless whilst progressing.
I agree completely. If only the good Christians that have caused so much pain in other humans were to realize that differences exist & have existed as noted in the bible.
I haven't checked out any books that the thread title refers to

LGBTQ books in public school libraries

But if well written with verifiable facts IMO those should be available to help educate those that still refuse to recognize that people are different and it's not indecent.

In my province in Canada, you need to be 16 years old to drive...18 to vote...19 to legally consume alcohol.

Perhaps the system needs an age appropriate threshold for introducing LGBTQ literature in schools. What age that would be....I'm not sure. 14 years old/ grade 9 perhaps?

We still have to let kids be kids, but have the resources there should the child's questions arise.

So now with progress the backward thinking good Christians are learning that people have different feelings about themselves & are Finally being able to openly express how they feel. With the ccaveatthat there still are backward thinking good Christian people wanting to do those people harm.
Man, I'd further discuss this, but it's not been my interest

Conjecture can take many paths

Paul talks about this in his letter to the Corinthians;

'For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. Therefore let no man glory in men'

I'm good with that

Y'know, these religious discussions tend to become redundant when targeting Christianity and The Word
breezing over biblical texts
in an effort to show its fallacy

Thing is, seems to never be an argument when the prophecies come to the fore
And rightly so
They are so precise
covering thousands of years

It's what I base my faith
and hope
Not hope for what's to come
but hope that I remain solid in my choices
Trusting in His power within me

Because that's all that we have
The power of choice

The atheist says.....'big choice....obey or die'

But our choices seal our future
Go your way, live your life...then die

Look around
One doesn't need to be a biblical scholar to see where our choices have led us

Or seek a better way
One of eternal life
Unspeakable joy....forever

It's there, for the taking
Our choice

I saw a glimpse of creation, when living in the mountains

It drove me to study

I look toward the new earth

That's all I care to say on this matter

Content filters are never 100% effective, it is likely at some point that your child will see inappropriate or upsetting content and it is important that you are able to talk to them about this.

IMO the concern for content in library books is a waste of time. As shown above we live in an age where information can be accessed in a matter of seconds.

The elephant in the room is ?

The elephant in the room is ?
lack of open discussion in the home?
