#1 - Looks the most natural. But for me, none of them would look too flattering after a day of gardening and doing some work on the car!

For me it's more a matter of the task at hand. I'd say ones I use often include the framing nail, spiral shank (or ardox), drywall, and finishing type. With metal roofing, I use the customary roofing screw.

1. It's beyond me how I see women with these horrendously long nails and how they are able to do anything.....unless they're fake and they take them off when they go home. I mean I would be afraid around children or pets that I would inadvertently hurt them.

I like clear polish so I can see if I get dirt under them. It's hard to clean your long nails in a public restroom due to having no brush or green stick.

The extremely long nails are not practical if you're doing manual labor. Working in the medical field for years, I cringe when I see staff with extremely long nails. That's how skin tears and scratches occur.

Whatever style someone wants, just please be clean and not have chipped polish. What’s the point of polish if it looks like h*ll.

The girl driving the bus I was on recently had 3 to 4 cm long nails. Thank goodness for power steering.

They looked more like party nails than bus driving nails but she was lovely, greeted every passenger and acknowledged their "Thank you" as they got off.

She also had more metal in her face than anyone I have ever met. Takes all sorts.

I have hands that look as if I work and use them a lot. Someone once said, sarcastically, that I had working class hands including the nails. I said " Yes, I am proud of them." I guess it's who I was and still am. But I like # 1 best if I have to choose.
