Lists....

Do you make lists ?

I started doing it when I reached a ‘certain’ age, called it my menopause list as my head was like cotton wool, and the habit has stuck,

I make a weekly list of things planned for each day then a daily shopping list

It keeps things running smoothly for me but a bit of a panic when I get to the shop and find I’ve forgotten my list ...

Yes!

I started making lists during my working years. I was taught to prioritize the five most important things on the list and focus my efforts on them.

I find that I don't really need to refer to the list once it's made, somehow the act of writing things down is enough to help me remember.

We keep a shopping list on the kitchen counter all the time. If we notice we're getting low on something or think of something we need or want we add it to the list.

I also make a list of chores I need to do and scratch them off as they are done. ( if that ever happens):p

I make lists all the time: shopping lists, "things to do" lists, gift lists, etc. I can't imagine doing without them.

I am always making lists. Shopping lists, chores to be done around the house, I have even started one for things I want to accomplish after the New Year. I also have 4 calendars going. Two in the kitchen. One for the family to write appointments and such, and one in the kitchen drawer that has recipes or menu ideas and coupons attached for the week. Our little sitting room on the hubby's desk has one ,where bills etc, are noted and one in my craft/computer room where I have birthdays and ideas for gifts noted. My family laughs at all this but guess who gets the call when someone can't remember a birthday or an event date? Little old me,that's who.

Larry, always add a few things you have already done to the top of the list (checked off)....in case anybody reads it. :D

We make a list for shopping, by store sometimes, like supermarket, Costco, Walmart. Like Rkunsaw, we have a pad in the kitchen that we both add too when we see we need to buy something. We also have lists of things to pack for a camping trip so we don't forget to take a key item when we're out in the boonies somewhere. My husband will make a list of things he needs to do, usually with the vehicles or house repair.

I make lists all the time. I have a shopping list and a to do list and an appts list and if I'm traveling I have a packing list which includes what to pack and what to do around the house before I leave...things like make sure fans are off, etc.

Some lists get put on my iPhone also.

I have always made lists. Now at my age it is more important .I have to laugh now at some of the things I write down. I never thought I'd have to make a list to remind myself of my passwords. I never thought I would do so many things on a computer.computer_clipart07.jpg

I have made lists all my life. Grocery lists, Christmas lists, etc. When I worked I always made a list for the next day's work. Depend on my lists everyday.

I have this 8" X 5" black Address and Phone Number book given to me back in 2009 where I've kept all my IDs and passwords for all my online accounts and anything to do with my computer since that year.

Like most, I make shopping lists. I also have to transfer birthdays every January from my old calendar to my new one. If I don't, I have to call my sister and my kids to get all the family birth-dates.

Oh!! Yeah!!! In my kitchen is a pad, where I write down everything I need to buy. If I need toilet tissue, I go right from the BR to the pad. If I stop and do something along the way, I'll forget it. I always remember to buy TP on the way back home from the market. Of course by the time I get home, I probably will forget about writing the TP on my pad. If I'm going to two stores, I put a note in my wallet. Otherwise I'll forget to go one of the stores. And of course, I'll remember needing to go to the other store, when I pull into my driveway.

One time I actually started to make a list of the lists I'd have to make that day, but I decided that was going too far! :rofl1:

I usually make shopping lists, especially tis time of year when I am doing Thanksgiving shopping and going to 2-3 different places. I just write the store name and what I plan to get there.

Of course, then I need a list or something to remind me of where I leave all my lists.

I used to have a list that had sub-lists of things to buy, things that need done.

...but, I got the help that I needed, so I am now list free. ;)

I make lists sometimes like all the appointments I have to do. Used to always make grocery lists but not so much anymore. I try to remember the really important things by thinking about them before I go in the store.

For years and years I used a steno pad to keep track of things. I seem to have gotten away from the lists now. Now that we're retired,I guess I don't have that many things to remember now.

I keep a to-do list which never seems to get shorter. These are mostly things that want fixing. If the parts, etc are on hand then I put a check mark after that item on the list.

I keep a travel list of what to pack and another of passwords.

Like others, if I have a lot of things to do, I make a list and scratch them off as they're done. When it comes to shopping, I always make a list but then I forget my list sometimes and that is a problem. I wind up getting too much of something I didn't need and not enough or none at all of what I do need without my list. When I know ahead of time when I'll be shopping, I put the list in my bag where I will see it to remind me.
