My little victories and successes at my present age are quite different from when I was younger and working. I was so proud of my self yesterday after spending most of the day and early evening figuring out how to stream Net Flix , You Tube etc. to my TV using my I Phone like a remote control. I have really enjoyed figuring out a number of tech issues with my computer and TV instead of calling my highly computer competent grand son who is a IT guy. For me, being able to go for a long morning walk without a cane or walker is a victory for me as well.:D
 

Too right.

Watching the Windows logo come up for the first time on my home-build computer when I was well past my 70th. is a moment that is still with me!

Getting through a whole afternoon without a nap is a major victory!
 
That's cool. You are more advanced than me when it comes to technology. :)

I'll look into some alternative since my cable provider "bundle" just went up another 8 dollars from one month to the next. It's out of hand. I like my TV and I only have expanded basic. Nothing premium. It's still ridiculous.
 

Congratulations! I used to get that great feeling when I accomplish some household repair job that is usually thought of as men's work. Living in an apt, doesn't happen as often, but I can stll drag out the old toolboxes!

I dumped my satellite TV two years ago when it took a HUGE jump and I finally realized I was paying a lot of money for crap, most of which I didn't want and never watched. Now I just have Netflix for like 9 bucks a month, and it suits me just fine. I can also watch local TV with an antenna, but there's very rarely anything on there I want to see, and the commercials drive me nuts.
 
I know what you mean Lon, it's very satisfying to accomplish something difficult . I couldn't have done what you did though as anything techie is Greek to me.
 
Congrats on figuring it out. I'd have to call someone. It's been over two years since I could take a long walk with or with out a cane, but I wish I could.
 
The older one gets the greater it feels to conquer a task that would be a piece of pie for the youngsters. Even my great Grandkids are computer whizzes. They are too far away to help me, so I challenge myself and have my share of both victory and defeat.
