Little white lies

I used to work with a bloke who had the longest nose ever, and he told whopping big lies......we all called him 'Pinocchio'........:)

I no longer know what color they are

they seem to start with white or light grey, then fester into hellish shades of...well.....hell
 
I don't answer my cell unless I know who it is,

Neither do I Starsong, the person I was referring to was at my door, canvassing for local elections, I only opened the door as I thought it was the postman ! :D
 
My friend tells me all the things he will do for me to help out.
I always say no--because I know he won't do them because he is too "busy"
or too inconvenient. Those are his lies. He won't say no.

Same..

We invited our neighbors to come pick blueberries. In order to pay us back(I suppose)
She made a blueberry pound cake and brought us a piece.
It was really bad, but I know that when asked I will say "It was good" .:shame:
 
Lara, good point about that "I have read and agree to terms of use." That one probably gets a 100% "lie" score. Though it's really not a white lie, it's more a little dance concocted by the lawyers.
 
All the adverts saying, "Buy this or that product and we'll 'give you this or that for free'......what a blatant lie that is....... this is a ploy to get you to buy the so called freebie. I went into a store to buy a fridge and the one I liked came with a 'free' electric kettle. I asked them how much the kettle would cost, they told me, so I said, "I don't want the kettle, so deduct the price of the kettle from the fridge price and we will have a deal." They declined, so I went elsewhere for a fridge, and lo and behold, I got one cheaper (ironically by about the cost of an electric kettle).

Like others on here, I HAVE told little white lies so as not to hurt someones feelings.........but I couldn't look them in the eye when I told the fib.....ha ha ha
