Live, Bald Eagle nest cams....

Well, there goes Gizmo!

She took off maybe an hour or two ago. Her flight wasn't nearly as graceful as Sunny's, but she made it over to another tree.

As for Sunny, she's been coming and going and she pleases for a few days now.

Thanks for sharing this! I had started another thread about the big bear eagles but have not been as attentive as you. I Thought it might take Gizmo a bit longer. She will get better.

Is it me, or did they pump out eggs pretty soon after their babies took flight? I saw the other babies leave the nest.
No, my friend.....
This thread is continued from last year. After watching the raising of the babies and their successful fledging last year, not much was happening at the nest, so the thread wasn't being used.

Over the years, Jackie and Shadow have had many failed attempts at raising a family. That's why last years brood was so exciting. I wish them good luck again this year, and am anxiously waiting to see the new chicks!

I'm actually not going by the timing of this thread Trila, but by when I saw the news coverage about the eggs, baby birds and them leaving the nest last year. But then again, I don't know how often eagles procreate and time is moving so quickly for me that I can't count on my perception of how long it was.

I don't know anything about the timing either. But I do remember while watching them last year, Jackie was sitting on the eggs and she was covered in snow.

I guess the timeframe from last years clutch could be looked up, if you really wanted to know. I figure "it is what it is", and watch & wait to see how things go.
