Location, Location, Location

Thanks! Yes, we joined out first forum together...doesn’t exist anymore but was huge ...was called Wired Seniors...you should have seen the nastiness on there, lol....usually about politics.
The old hack is right "politics makes strange bedfellows".....

Cee Cee, Remember when we met back East?

Palentine (sp) rings a bell.

It was the Midwest....you were visiting someone in Palatine and I was in the parking lot of the Cary Grove Masonic lodge with my DIL and you stopped to ask for directions....I was the widow wearing a black dress...it was my husband’s memorial.

That was BEFORE we met online....that was weird, huh?

I don’t list where I live exactly because then people make assumptions about me that are not true. Although I told Keesha in a PM where I live in general and have no real problem in telling others. I live in UTAH. I am not LDS aka Mormon. Please don’t ask me questions about the LDS faith. I don’t have any answers.

That's OK. My mother was a Mormon and I know all I need to know. Utah is a beautiful state.

Thanks C’est Moi,

Utah is beautiful. The wide open spaces used to bother me a great deal, I’m a city girl used to town after town crowded together. But after decades of living here I am used to the empty spaces between towns. I’d like to live in Saint George, so much warmer. But our son Joey ties us here.

I live in Croydon which is reputed to be the most
populous Borough in London, it is also the place
where all immigrants need to contact to renew
their visa etc.
As for security I am fine with all knowing where I
live.

Mike.

I’m one of those people that doesn’t worry too much about my privacy. My info is out there somewhere on the web anyway.

Those that know my name, know where I live..not rocket science. I have nothing to steal and I hope nobody wants to kill me.

That's how I used to feel. UNTIL I started getting calls from every collection agency known to man. A con artist was going into car dealerships, and walking off with cars. EVERYTHING she put down on the application was false. There was no such town in the state , she put down. Even the zip code didn't match. The only thing that was real was she used MY telephone number on three of her apps. Why she used my telephone number I have no idea. The calls, the stuff in the mail lasted for over two years. It got to the point I knew her three aliases, the dealerships she conned. BTW, we're not talking about one or two calls per month, try 4-8 per day. Get a new telephone number, the collection agencies track you down. That 2 years worth of grief was because she used my telephone number that was in the book. Can you imagine the nonsense you would have to go through if she had some hard info on me.

If a person uses a cell phone, or logs onto the Internet, their location can, and will, be determined to within a very short distance. "Privacy" in today's "technoworld" is almost non-existent. Insofar as things like these "social" forums are concerned....I find it hard to respond properly to someone who won't even post their "gender". There is nothing in this sites "profile" that would lead to any problems, but knowing more basic information about a poster would certainly aid in giving a worthwhile response to some of their posts.

Most people know I'm from New Jersey. We live on the outskirts of Hackettstown almost on the PA border. Hackettstown is known for the M&M candy factory. I think it is the second largest maker of M&M's in the world. When we first got married we lived right in Hackettstown and was in walking distance of the company. They had special days when they roasted the peanuts and other days when the whole town smelled of chocolate. That might sound nice but when you are 3 months pregnant as I was back then those smells didn't sit very well. These daysM&Ms (800x600).jpg main street Hackettstown has quaint little shops and restaurants. M&Ms can bee seen painted on the benches and street signs have been added such as the one in my photo.

I am from Lovingston, Va. which is a very small town with a population of just over about 700 people. It is a town where pretty much most people know your name. It does however have a very nice Winery.
