Longest Continuous Walk

Interesting OP, Deb!:geek:

And I had thought the Appalachian Trail would be a long walk!🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️
(USA; Georgia to Maine)

Not that I could ever actually do that one, either, but it was fun to imagine.:giggle:
Pales in comparison to walking from South Africa to and across Russia, though.:rolleyes:
😁

My longest walk was 36 miles in one day. In high school, I helped organize "Hike for Hunger". The first "hike," I walked 24 miles, the second "hike," I walked 36 miles.🚶‍♀️
Bella, this is excellent. My longest walk in one day was much less with 24 miles at age 37.

And the end point is a very chilly port city in NE Russia. It's where the soviet gov't used to ship its political prisoners before sending them along to one of their gulags.
Murrmurr, this is quite interesting, as I just began to read Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn's book "The Gulag Archipelago". Magadan is a sister city with Anchorage, but I doubt that there are a lot of activities in this field now.
