Look at me, looking at you, everyone looking at each other, (a thread about our appearances!)

If you ever feel lonely, Just wear your oldest, ugliest clothes, no make-up of course, and pile your hair on top of your head in a rubber band. "I'm just going to run in the Post Office for a second! No one will see me!"

Guaranteed! You will run into EVERYONE YOU KNOW!
Yep! One of my sister's was a psychology prof at a community college, so between the other staff, her students and then add in people from her church for many years she would not do the slightest errand without dressing 'professionally', doing her hair and putting on lipstick. Not sure she still does all that being well into retirement. We have too many other things to talk about and living several hundred miles apart i don't get to observe her routinely.

It used to be that if a guy went out in public unshaven, hair mussed up, with his shirt outside his pants and tears in his jeans, he would be considered a slob. Now he's considered stylish! That's the current fashion!

I go out like that sometimes, minus the tears in my jeans, but when I do, I feel like a slob. I just don't care. And I wear a hat, so you can't really tell that I haven't combed my hair. And I usually wear chinos or cargo pants.

It is a bit of an advantage to wear ripped jeans, and be able to kid folks you're following fashion, (or kid yourself you look like you are!). :)

The way some people dress up and all the make up they wear just totally freaks me out.
I thought a bit like that till I met a wonderful lady at work, who had an Italian husband, so quite exotic in those days I thought. You'd have to say without her make up she probably didn't look attractive, but by dressing very well, and having a great personality she certainly made the best of what she had got, (and happy family with two children). :)

Know what? I will not be thrilled when masks are no longer required. I've been hiding this disaster of a face for almost two years and if I don't get ' a little bit of something done' soon, I'll continue to wear a mask. I hope to find a nice fella someday but he won't want to look twice if I unmask now.😷😲
