Losing It All - But One

Here's a question that might require a bit of thought, depending upon how much stuff you own and your relationship with it ...

If you knew you were to lose everything you own, every possession, piece of furniture, book, statue, picture, etc., except one ... what would you keep?

For me, having lost or given away basically everything else, I would choose my laptop. It's my job, my entertainment center and my social director all rolled into one compact 5-pound package.

We had to evacuate during a fire. The slightest breeze and this would have been a moot question. I did take my iPad & iphone. I don’t think I had the cables to charge them. It’s amazing what goes through your mind when under stress.

P.S. My glasses were the first thing I picked up.

I have lost everything I owed three times. The last time was when I picked up my 2 year old and left everything else behind. Things are nothing. People are everything. I would keep my relationships and never look back for the things I lost.
