Took a several-day trip up & down the west-coast British Columbia "Inside Passage" last fall. Had a private room on the ferry, and spent time looking out through the lounge areas' enormous windows, and of course amble the passenger decks in the salt air. The trip each way took around 12 hours. While docked at a midway point, spotted humpback whales. Caught one whale that came right up by the ferry, but camera only caught the tail before submerging. A 30-something woman friend hand-made this pointillist rendition for us with a pen—now displayed on our fridge!
Great picture/art!! Must of been a pretty exciting event.
Reminded me of fishing in the upper Sacramento River for trout. 90% of the trout we caught were farm trout from the Conservation Dept. Still a lot of fun to catch, and the beauty of the river environment is great. This thread IS about spots and dots. That is what happened when rarely you would catch a native Brown Trout. They are beautiful.
These are wonderful stories and dotted images guys!!
My son is working in Valdez Alaska right now and stopped in a gallery there. He's there for Salmon Season but this Fish painting is using a lot of artistic license if that's what they are! He sent 3 photos and my favorite was this one that I call...
