Someone on another forum who lives in Houston posted this from a meteorologist on their local TV:

"For those keeping track, we now have…

A Tornado Watch, A Freeze Warning, A Wind Advisory, A Gale Warning, A Rip Current Warning, and a Cold Weather Advisory.

Southeast Texas at its finest😬😵‍💫"

...and a Partridge in a Pear Tree.

Sorry, couldn't resist lol...

Eastern Missouri. Darker blue over us on radar. Less visibility out the window. Will be curious about the amount of snow in Kansas City when this is all over with. They received all of it.
Kansas City is getting hit hard. I spoke to an old friend living there an hour ago, and he said they have at least 10", and it's still coming down.

I'm glad that the Chiefs are playing in Denver this afternoon...a football game at Arrowhead would be an absolute mess

It started snowing pretty good here about 45 minutes ago.....we're at 21° and the wind is howling out of the NW at 25 mph.

The house is toasty and mama boiled a big pot of pork bones this morning to use in making some of her homemade won ton soup to warm us up on the inside for supper tonight.

Many years of living in the western UP, and it was rare for our usual sNOwfall of 12", 18", 24", 36" or more to make anything but the local news. Sometimes, I'd slap on the cross country skis to get to work when the plows hadn't been by yet.

If we got lucky and the plows came by early enough, we'd get up around 4am and get out the sNOw scoop and the sNOw blower to clear out our 90 ft long driveway. Couldn't do that before the plows made it down our street because they'd plow the sNOw into an already-cleared driveway.

It was our normal winter. Jussayin'

We're in northeast N.J. and so far it looks like we will not be getting the extreme weather that was predicted for much of the northeast. Our real feel temp low for the next few days is 16 degrees (better than the 0 I saw for some areas). Looks like we will not be getting the snow or ice either. I hope you and those in areas that will be getting the extreme weather will remain safe Don.
