Not possible. Everything from big band to disco, mellow 80's blue grass, old country, zydeco, & pop all memorable for one reason or the other.
 
I'll post some of my favorite albums of all time instead of greatest hits since I was more into album rock when I used to listen to music regularly. These are just in the order that they popped into my head...

Abraxas - Santana
White Album - The Beatles
Kind of Blue - Miles Davis
Live at Fillmore East - Allman Brothers Band
Dark Side of the Moon / Wish You Were Here / Animals - Pink Floyd
Cosmos Factory - Creedence Clearwater Revival
Aqualung - Jethro Tull
Led Zeppelin's first four albums
Working Man's Dead / Live in Europe 1972- Grateful Dead

"Revolver"-Beatles would be my Beatles pick though anything from "Rubber Soul" to "The White Album" is great)
Love Miles Davis. Prefer his "Beautiful Ballads and Love Songs" release"
The first 2 studio albums from The Allman Brothers are classic (shorter versions of their best songs)
Pink Floyd is great from the beginning (Syd Barrett) to the end with David Gilmour.
